Playing Hooky on a Warm 'Spring' Day
Scenes from February's early thaw, only two weeks after a blizzard halted business, school and government in Waukesha.
With budget repair bill protests in Madison, about 12 stories I could write about last night's Common Council meeting and getting stories ready for Patch weekend coverage, when a pal of mine sent me a text at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, I couldn't resist.
I folded up the laptop and drove to the downtown riverwalk to escape in the warm, "spring" air for awhile before getting back to interviews about the rallies in Madison.
But, the walk did not come without the camera. Turns out the ducks were having the greatest time playing in the Fox River today.
