It is planned to close North West Avenue at the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad crossing beginning Monday, July 11, 2011m so that the railroad can reconstruct and realign the crossing.
The crossing is between Dunbar Ave. and Elizabeth Street.

A detour will be posted using the route: south on N. West Ave., east on Wisconsin Ave., south on N. Grand Ave. and west on W. College Ave. The northbound route will be the reverse of that.
The hospital emergency route will be: west on W. College Ave., north on N. Prairie Ave., northeast on W. St. Paul Ave. and north on Mountain Ave. Work is expected to be complete by sometime on Friday, July 15.
