Grab & Go: Willy Wonka and Laser Tag

Waukesha Patch takes a look at places you can take your children this weekend.

Where/When: Waukesha South High School, 7 p.m. Thursday to Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday

Why Go: Remember that childhood tale of a golden ticket that could take you to see wonders of a chocolate river and an Oompa-Loompa? The high school spring musical will take you and your children back to that time. It also gives your children a chance to think about participating in their school plays.

4. Shoot Each Other in Laser Tag

Where/When: LaserTag Adventure, Sundays

Why Go: Who can resist running around and shooting each other with laser guns? Your kids might gang up on you and come straight after you, but you are the parent. You know their every move. So who will win in the end? Yeah, we know, chances are it will be your children unless you are a laser tag-playing ninja.

Price: Sunday’s family special is eight games of laser tag, four sodas and 16 arcade tokens for $50.

 5. Bake Cookies at Home

Where/When: Your house, anytime

Why Go: You have had a weekend full of activities but you still want to spend some quality bonding time with your child. Whether it is mixing the flour, eggs and sugar or using the pre-made dough (let’s face it, we are not all gourmet cookie bakers), making cookies will allow you to spend time with your children as you make the cookies. They can’t even escape because they are going to want to eat those cookies the second the cookies come off the pan.

Price: The cost of ingredients
