Get Out: Plays, Marathon and Motorcycles
Waukesha Patch takes a look at activities that are happening in the area this weekend.
Where/When: Waukesha Civic Theatre; 8 p.m. Friday, 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday
Why Go: This play takes you back to 1946 and to the Iowa State Fair as the Frake family compete in the fair. Besides a few barnyard oinkers, the play includes romance, adventure and music.

Where/When: Frame Park; Packets can be picked up starting at 6 a.m. Saturday. Races start at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday.
Why Go: Beat the winter blues to exercise with the community while supporting The Parks Foundation of Waukesha. Even if you haven’t trained for a marathon or a half-marathon and you can’t even run a mile, you can still walk the 5K.
Pricing: Registration for the marathon costs $55, the half-marathon is $45 and the 5K is $35.
Where/When: UW-Waukesha; 2 p.m. Friday and Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday
Why Go: This play was inspired by the tragic shooting 12 years ago at Columbine High School in Colorado. The play should have serious undertones as the characters portray some of those involved in the shooting.
Pricing: $10 Adults, $8 Seniors/Students, Free for UW-Waukesha Students.
Where/When: Nice Ash; 9 p.m. Saturday
Why Go: Spend an evening out with friends while having a drink or two and listen to music in downtown Waukesha. The live music is with the former lead singer of Cheap Trick and Bad Boy along with Magnificent Strings.
Pricing: No cover charge
Where/When: Waukesha County Expo; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday
Why Go: Get ready to bring the bike out for the spring and summer months. Vendors at the swap meet will be selling parts for bikes as motorcycle riders repair to get back on the road – especially as gas prices continue to rise.
Pricing: $7. Children under age 10 are free.
