Free Donuts in Waukesha Today

Friday is National Donut Day.

They might not be fat free but the donuts being given throughout area communities today are free.

Waukesha Salvation Army is giving out free donuts until 2 p.m. today (Friday, June 3) at Walgreens at the corner of Madison and Delafield streets. Waukesha Tattoo plans to begin giving away donuts at 2 p.m. as well. The donuts will be available "all day until we run out (unlikely)," tweeted George Wang, an owner of Waukesha Tattoo.

Today is National Donut Day, which is a day to honor the Salvation Army ladies who would bring food to troops in World War I, according to legend of National Donut Day.
