Waukesha Farmers' Market Begins Saturday With Community Day

Fresh vegetables and fruit for sale in downtown Waukesha from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

Farmers from across southeastern Wisconsin will bring their fruits, vegetables and other items to downtown Waukesha every Saturday this summer.

The kickoff for the Waukesha Farmers' Market is Saturday morning. The market runs from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays through Oct. 29. Saturday's community day celebration includes police and fire vehicle demonstrations and rides on the Canadian Pacific Railroad for children.

"The Waukesha Business Improvement District has been given permission to close a portion of Municipal Parking Lot 1 (Riverfront Plaza) from the rear of 264 W. Main St. to the West Broadway, Bank Street and Clinton Street intersection for the Farmers’ Market on from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

This includes permission to have cars towed from the area.

The Waukesha Business Improvement District has been given permission to close Friedman Drive, which is between West Main Street and Municipal Parking Lot 1, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays for the Farmers' Market.
