Waukesha Reads Kickoff Weekend: Sept. 28 & 29

October is filled with Waukesha Reads events, most of which are free and all are open to the public. The events are based on themes from the Waukesha Reads 2012 book selection, 1984, by George Orwell. A complete Waukesha Reads Calendar of Events is available at the Waukesha Public Library’s Reference Desk, at participating downtown merchants or online at www.waukeshareads.org

On Saturday, September 29, 8:00 a.m. - Noon, at the Farmers’ Market, Riverfront Plaza, Waukesha Reads will have a booth where books and the Calendar of Events will again be available. New and gently used children’s books for the Hope Center Library can also be dropped off at the booth. You can also make a bookmark, one for you and one to share with the children of Hope Center, with materials provided by the Waukesha Community Art Project.
