E. coli-Tainted Pewaukee Lake Beach Closed

Results of Tuesday's testing will be posted Wednesday.

The Pewaukee Lake Beach is closed because the levels of E. coli reached as high as 1,553 unites per 100 milliliters of water, creating an unsafe swimming condition, according to the City of Pewaukee’s website.

“The water will be retested daily until the counts reach a safe level and the beach can be reopened,” the website states.

Tuesday’s tests results will be posted Wednesday on the City of Pewaukee website.
