'Can You Get My Football Out Of A Tree?'

Former Green Bay Packer Kurt Larson, a Waukesha North High School Class of 1984 graduate, shares about life after football and the strangest question a kid has ever asked him.

Kurt Larson played for the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts after starring at Waukesha North High School (Class of '84).

He was speaking with kids Tuesday at Green Bay Packers Youth Football Camp in Glendale, which he has done for three years, and took a few moments to answer 5 Questions From Patch:

What keeps you busy these days?
I have a son who is a senior and a daughter who is a sophomore at Oconomowoc High School, so I'm chasing them around. I help coach Oconomowoc football and work for Badger Liquor.

What do you think of the efforts to limit the danger in the NFL?
I think it's good. Anytime you can limit such violent collisions, it's a good thing. Might be hard as a fan, when you see in slow motion that a penalty was not a helmet-to-helmet hit. I'd rather have clean hard hits.

You are NFL Commissioner for a day. What's your first priority?
I would take two preseason games out and keep the 16-game regular schedule.

Last time you saw a football game at Waukesha North?
We do a lot of 7-on-7 with them at Oconomowoc, we have a good relationship with them. The last game I saw was two years ago when North came to Oconomowoc.

What's the oddest question you've gotten from kids at these camps?
It was at of the first ones I did in Madison. He asked me, "Can you come to my house after this?" I said, "well, I don't know." He said, "You're really tall and my football's in a tree."
