In preparation for the Royal Wedding, which broadcast coverage begins at 4:30 a.m. Friday for those watching in Wisconsin, Allo! Chocolate made a small display as a fun way to participate in the English celebration.

The display is complete with royal raspberry truffles, mini truffles, raspberry and blueberry cheesecakes, tiara-shaped chocolate suckers, bride and groom cake toppers made of chocolate and, of course, English toffee.

“I looked online and found out that William’s favorite food is chocolate and Kate’s favorite food is toffee,” said Carlson, with a laugh “… Why not English toffee? It’s got both.”

When it comes to the young English royal princes, William and Harry, Carlson has seen them grow through a lot, including the devastating and very public death of their mother, Princess Diana. That makes it exciting to see William grow up as a young prince and prepare to marry his long-time girlfriend, who, in the eyes of English royalty, is a commoner.

“They have shown a lot of respect. They have shown a lot of growth and maturity,” said Carlson about the two princes. “They were very young when their mother passed away and they showed a lot of maturity then. I think that is why people adore them so much.”
