What is Loft 24? You may have heard the name, but still are not quite sure what all the fuss is about. I love the simplicity of this: Loft 24 noun: is a space dedicated to openness and accessibility, offering large discounts for big dreamers with small budgets making positive changes in the world.

Loft 24 is all about throwing a great party and making it super easy for you to be the host(ess) with the most(est)! Since the (large) room is fully furnished with an eclectic mix of vintage and unique pieces, there’s no need for rentals and your guests have plenty of places to recline, cozy up in a corner and put their feet up!  With all the colors and decorations, there’s no need to form a decorating committee. Instead, put your effort into cool invitations, selecting party favors, making that select guest list and picking out the tunes.

My Loft 24 Experience

I had the honor of attending the grand opening of Loft 24 on March 21, 2014. Now… I had read all about Loft 24, I had seen the photos and progress via the Loft 24 Facebook page. Yet, I walked in the building and looked up the stairs, and the sight was amazing! I was overtaken with emotion. I couldn’t wait to walk into the space. Now, let me give you a little background, Loft 24 is owned by the talented Laura Kiley. She also owns and runs The Traveling Craft Company. She is one amazingly crafty woman. She is one of those people who actual sees something on Pinterest and makes it, and it looks incredible (even better.) She has tons of her own ideas, and turns someones otherwise trash into a work of art and/or makes use of it again! She has a fully stocked craft area as well. You will enjoy 3,000 square feet, of a fully furnished and decorated space, tables & chairs, comfy couches, retro armchairs and coffee tables, artwork, antique & ethnic knick-knacks, plus a whole lot of personality! There is even a giant movie area with a projector surrounded by fluffy pillows and seating. Not only can you watch movie here, but you could play games on it, have a dance party or even sing karaoke!

Upon entering Loft 24 in downtown Oconomowoc I was greeted with warm welcomes and huge smiles at the grand opening, and a glass of wine! I couldn’t believe my eyes. Everywhere I looked I saw the most unique items, decorations and works of art. The place was huge, and I could finally see it altogether. Each space had it’s own character and feel. There were places to sit and converse with coffee tables in the center with the most intriguing and unique items on top. The colors were vivid, each item hand-picked by Laura, and re-purposed or used to make the space one of a kind. The space is light and airy, with lots of windows and beautiful tin ceilings.  The walls are uniquely decorated and the room is furnished with vintage and unique furniture from the forties on up, unique rugs, lamps, toys, pillows, trinkets and artwork. She has a kitchen area, and for the night served fun bite-sized appetizers and had a chocolate fountain flowing with marshmallows, graham crackers and pretzels! So beautifully delicious. (you can rent that too!)

I could see myself renting this space for so many reasons! Personally, I am thinking kid’s birthday parties, girls night out, Girl Scout troop meetings, get togethers and meetings for The Lake Country Mom, bridal and baby showers, kids movie night, oh- the list could go on! I am super excited to share this space with friends and family! I am also looking forward to the scheduled events Loft 24 has, especially the craft classes. I just cannot believe that perhaps a photographer looking for an affordable location now has a place to come full of props, an instructor has a space to teach yoga, a group of ladies can have a fun place to hold book club, co-workers can get out of the office to hold a meeting , an artist can come in for inspiration, kids can come into play. The possibilities are absolutely endless. Loft 24 is an ever-evolving space. Pictures today most likely will change tomorrow. They are always staying creative and Loft 24 is their canvas.  Enjoy their uniqueness and creativity. Come in for a visit to see the real thing!

So how do I rent it? What does it cost?

That is the best part! It’s so affordable and so easy! You are able to rent this incredible event venue in the lake country area just like that! There is minimal need to rent anything, keeping down those pesky rental fees and staffing hours it takes to load-in and set-up. They have 2 rental options and an a la carte menu to accommodate your needs. Loft 24 can be rented out by the hour or for an entire day. Every booking includes a private space! They only book one event in our space at a time, so the event, party and meeting is always private. Best part is that you can bring anything in with you, your own food or drink or they have food and beverage choices to select from. There are not many places around that allow such choices.

Two Packages: ”Bring Your Own Package” or “One Stop Shop Package” They also offer an a la carte menu for any additional extra you may need or want! I just cannot believe how affordable it is. You can find all pricing and details for each package here.

Are there regular events held to attend at Loft 24?

Yes! Currently there are some events open to the public such as Family Movie Night, 50 Shades of Green Event by The Traveling Craft Company, Mommy & Me Morning Out, Mommy & Me Afternoon Fun, a Book Swap, an Easter Egg Hunt, Style & Accessory Swap, and an acoustic concert by Keith Pulvermacher. There is ample parking in the municipal lots in Downtown Oconomowoc as well as on the streets. Please enter through the front of the building at 24 S. Main Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066 and travel to the 2nd floor Loft area.
