Community Blood Drive - Christ the King Church

Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1600 N. Genesee Street, Delafield, will hold a community-wide blood drive in conjunction with the Blood Center of Wisconsin on Monday, April 21, from 2–7 p.m. in the church’s Great Hall.

One blood donation can help as many as three patients.  All blood types are needed. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be free of the flu, a cold or allergy symptoms, show a photo ID with a date of birth, and be at least 17 years old.  16-year-olds may donate with parental permission.  The entire donation process takes about one hour.   More information on donating is available online at the Blood Center of Wisconsin at www.bcw.edu/DelafieldCommunity  or by contacting Jeri Bonadurer at 262-893-8666.

Bonadurer encourages everyone who is healthy and able to donate.  “Blood donations save lives for those in the community requiring blood for surgeries, cancer treatments, and medical emergencies,” she said.

The Blood Center of Wisconsin is the only provider of blood to 57 Wisconsin hospitals in 29 counties, including all community hospitals in southeastern Wisconsin.

An ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) church, Christ the King continually welcomes new members.  Services are held at 9 a.m. every Sunday.
