Waukesha School District Saratoga STEM Academy staff will host an Open House and Inauguration of the remodeled mechanical room now titled the "Thermal Energy Lab".
Featured Wisconsin corporations will exhibit their products, a number manufactured here in Wisconsin, that were installed in the lab. These real life tools will be used to teach how heat energy is used within Saratoga school.
Saratoga is the first Waukesha school to have a renewable solar energy project. Live data logging allows students to monitor the various sensors in graphing form and learn how solar energy is used to heat cold domestic water. Other controls monitor energy consumed within the school's heating system.
State and local officials, local manufacturing companies, parents, students and the community can interact with Saratoga STEM teachers and the Waukesha School District administration to describe STEM education and what makes project based outcome a successful educational model.
Hear how STEM education in the School District of Waukesha can help Wisconsin fill the skills gap in vocational, technical, and engineering careers.
Parking is available in the Harvey Philips building parking lot, on Walton Avenue, or on the Saratoga playground.
