The Truth About IBS – Free Program
The community is invited to a free program about irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) called The Inside Tract-The Truth About IBS from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, at Westwood Health & Fitness Center, 2900 Golf Rd., Pewaukee.
The program will be presented by James Kwiatt, MD, GI Associates, who will discuss the signs and symptoms of IBS as well as current treatment options that are available. IBS affects two out of every 10 women and one out of every 10 men. Symptoms include abdominal pain, constipation and diarrhea. IBS cannot be cured, but there are new therapies that can reduce the symptoms.
