DESCRIPTION:The approaching New Year offers yet another symbolic fresh st
 art for many people. A new program at Ayurveda Wellness\, &ldquo\;New Ye
 ar\, New You\,&rdquo\; will help participants leap beyond the symbolism
 and make 2012 when they finally turn their New Year&rsquo\;s resolutions
  into reality.\n&ldquo\;New Year\, New You&rdquo\; will help participant
 s shed unwanted stress and tension\, and overcome the barriers to making
  wanted changes &ndash\; whether weight loss\, smoking cessation or in c
 areers or relationships. The 12-week program will empower attendees to l
 ive with renewed focus\, energy and awareness of maintaining positive ch
 anges\, and not falling back into negative\, unhealthy habits.\n&ldquo\;
 New Year\, New You&rdquo\; will be offered in two sessions: Tuesdays fro
 m 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.\, beginning Jan. 10\, and Fridays from 9:45 a.m
 . to 11:45 a.m.\, starting Jan. 13. Both will be at Ayurveda Wellness\,
 located in the THRIVE Life Services office\, 2331 Silvernail Road. More
 information is available at www.ayurvedawellness.org/solutions/classes.\
 n&ldquo\;New Year\, New You&rdquo\; aims to restore physical\, mental an
 d energetic balance in each person. Its holistic approach will blend gro
 up and individual coaching\, nutrition and lifestyle counseling\, exerci
 se and stress relief techniques\, plus a personalized lifestyle and diet
  plan for each participant. The program will be led by Jamie Durner\, an
  accomplished natural health therapist\, life coach and certified Ayurve
 dic Practitioner.\n&ldquo\;New Year&rsquo\;s resolutions typically fail
 not due to lack of willpower\, but because of unrealistic expectations\,
  misdirected goals\, and lack of the right support\, accountability and
 resources to help achieve them\,&rdquo\; Durner said. &ldquo\;This progr
 am will help participants set realistic goals aimed at the core underlyi
 ng issues\, and sustain them through small\, consistent lifestyle change
 s\, while throwing off the pain\, stress and fatigue that have held them
  back.&rdquo\;\nThe most common New Year&rsquo\;s resolutions involve lo
 sing weight. However\, drastic weight loss can throw the body into shock
 \, creating even more cravings to eat and unleashing a boomerang effect\
 , Durner explained. The crash approach actually works against itself\, t
 aking a person in the opposite direction from their goal. &ldquo\;New Ye
 ar\, New You&rdquo\; will help participants discover the underlying reas
 ons for eating and weight gain\, and structure an approach to gradual we
 ight loss and better overall health.\n&ldquo\;Our goal is to implement s
 mall steps that add up to big results in people&rsquo\;s lives\,&rdquo\;
  she said of the &lsquo\;New Year\, New You&rsquo\; program. &ldquo\;The
  focus is not just today\, but on many\, many healthy tomorrows.&rdquo\;
 \nUsing more than two decades of holistic health experience\, Durner cre
 ates personalized treatment programs to guide clients to optimal health
 and sustained wellness. Her background includes more than 2\,500 hours o
 f training at natural health centers across the country\, plus a long li
 st of professional certifications in related disciplines.
