Lunch and Learn, "Who Writes History?"

Enjoy lunch, then a presentation by Kimberly Redding, History Department Chair at Carroll University, who will share her research into the Germans expelled from Eastern Europe in 1945-46 and how they have been erased from their national history as we explore how history is often written by the 'winners.'  Fee: $8 per person, includes lunch and museum admission.  Registration required by Oct. 9, please call the Education Department at (262) 521-2859.

Come explore the history of Waukesha County with a visit to the Waukesha County Historical Society & Museum. You'll find ongoing special exhibits, events and programs for all ages of interest.

The Research Center at the museum specializes in local family history with archives of birth, death, wedding and land records, plus many more similar type documents.

The volunteer staff are ready to greet you with directions and information when you enter the museum or when you stop by the gift shop. The gift shop has unique books, cards, games, statues, toys and candy for sale. It's always fun to go home with a souvenir of your adventure.

The museum also has an education department that offers guided tours, discovery boxes and an outreach program. Inquire about that for your group or students.
