Lunch and Learn:“Myths and Mysteries of the Great Lakes”
Enjoy lunch, then a presentation on the mysterious and misunderstood history of shipwrecks, lighthouses, and much more, including tales from the Edmund Fitzgerald and the Christmas Tree Ship! More About Waukesha County Historical Society & Museum
Come explore the history of Waukesha County with a visit to the Waukesha County Historical Society & Museum. You'll find ongoing special exhibits, events and programs for all ages of interest.
The Research Center at the museum specializes in local family history with archives of birth, death, wedding and land records, plus many more similar type documents.
The volunteer staff are ready to greet you with directions and information when you enter the museum or when you stop by the gift shop. The gift shop has unique books, cards, games, statues, toys and candy for sale. It's always fun to go home with a souvenir of your adventure.
The museum also has an education department that offers guided tours, discovery boxes and an outreach program. Inquire about that for your group or students.
