She has authored 14 books\, has b een featured in a wide variety of journals and anthologies\, and has rec eived several literary awards. Her poems have been architecturally incor porated in buildings throughoutWisconsin and Minnesota and included in t he Hospice Poetry Recording Project of Seattle. Ellen believes poetry is a "healing art" and facilitates poetry workshops at medical conventions for physicians and psychologists.
