Now boarding for a high-flying good time! We will make and fly kites, launch rockets, and soar with the birds through the museum.
The Discovery Club is an exciting program specially designed for children 3 - 5 years old. Families will be led by the Education Department staff through several interactive activities, with a new theme offered each month. Fee: $3 per child, $3 per adult (museum member adults are free), museum admission is included. Registration is required by the Wednesday before each program. Come explore the history of Waukesha County with a visit to the Waukesha County Historical Society & Museum. You'll find ongoing special exhibits, events and programs for all ages of interest.
The Research Center at the museum specializes in local family history with archives of birth, death, wedding and land records, plus many more similar type documents.
The volunteer staff are ready to greet you with directions and information when you enter the museum or when you stop by the gift shop. The gift shop has unique books, cards, games, statues, toys and candy for sale. It's always fun to go home with a souvenir of your adventure.
The museum also has an education department that offers guided tours, discovery boxes and an outreach program. Inquire about that for your group or students.
