"$10 Million a Minute" Bus Tour Stop for Fiscal Sanity
Almost two weeks into our almost five-week national fiscal responsibility bus tour, it’s clear we have a real show stopper on board. It’s not an expert speaker but a 100-pound, 10-foot-long digital display whose flashing digits are drawing ooh's and aah's everywhere it goes. This “U.S. Financial Burden Barometer” is a much truer measure of our federal financial sinkhole than the well-known National Debt Clock, which is just over $16 trillion. The Burden Barometer makes that stunning number seem like small change: at present our Barometer’s tally is more than $70 trillion and growing by $10 million a minute!
Tonight, come check out the Burden Barometer for yourself, and meet David Walker, the nonpartisan former US Comptroller General. He'll be leading a conversation about how the debt crisis affects our daily lives - and threatens our grandchildren's future - in ways that might surprise you.
Please join us to talk with Mr. Walker and other national leaders about why America is in danger of a Greece-like national catastrophe, hear about solutions that can win bipartisan support, and learn how YOU can help us solve this crisis.
