You know some friends and I were just talking about this subject last night. I think somewhereRead Morealon g the line...getting picked on and being bullyed have gotten confused. Alot of kids get picked on at school. Learning how to handle that properly agreed is key in learning general conflict resolution skills. But as soon as parents step into this you have ruined the formula. I was beat up repeatedly (and I mean literally beat up) bloody a few times by a "bully" at my middle school growing up. THAT IS BULLYING!! (He eventually went on to prison too so good job by him) Not someone picking on you or sending you messages on the internet. That may be harassing you, and "picking" on you, but not bullying. Kids are cruel!! We know that! Guess what most kids who get picked on pick on other kids too and then complain when it happens to them. More over it is those around you, your community of peers who should be responsible for confronting bullys. THATS WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR!! What true friend lets his friend get picked on? I don't know really that bullying as it is being defined these days fits my description of what MOST of us know is actual bullying. Can we be honest here instead of politically correct?

Like so many other legitimate issues---the left have taken it upon them selves to totally waterRead Moredown the meanings of words. It rally ends up hurting the people they are trying to protect. These are the same people that think calling a woman bossy is bad. Kids need to learn how to deal with teasing. Kids do not need to learn to get sucker punched. There is no guarantee that you will be perpetually comfortable in every aspect of your life. Your need the tools to rise above...not be nannied to death.
