Starbucks, a Company with Soul

At one time or another everyone has entered a Starbucks that in metropolitan cities like Boston, San Francisco, and Chicago feel like they are on every street corner. Walk into many Crowne Plaza Hotels and you can smell Starbucks.  It was at a Crowne Plaza that their advertising ingenuity struck a chord.  The internet password in their hotel rooms was none other than "Starbucks."

There is an amazing story behind why Starbucks is such a success; you can look that up yourself.  It is the story of Howard Schultz's (CEO of Starbucks) impatience with the Federal Government that should make everyone ponder.

In November of 2011, he announced that Starbucks would contribute the first five million dollars to "Create Jobs for USA" and the rest of us could help by contributing $5.00 with a purchase and receive a made in America bracelet. American's need jobs and small business' needs access to credit so partnering with OFN, 100% of the dollars collected are distributed right back into communities to create and sustain jobs.

One businessman took it upon himself to be a part of the solution.  How many states, cities, or municipalities out there are part of the problem?  During an interview this past week, Howard Schultz commented on the posturing in Washington D.C. and how this falls elections are taking up so much time when what America needs right now, today, is a serious platform for job creation.
