Wisconsin's First Lady Holding 'Walk With Walker' at Minooka Park

Two-mile walk at Waukesha park begins at 9 a.m. Friday, March 30.

First Lady Tonette Walker will lead her first Walk with Walker event of the year at Minooka Park, part of the Waukesha County Park system, on Friday, March 30 beginning at 9 a.m. The event continues the first lady’s initiative to raise awareness of Wisconsin’s hiking trails and scenic landscapes while promoting the health and fitness benefits of walking.  

The first lady has promoted a number of parks and trails throughout the state including Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, High Cliff State Park, Three Eagle Trail in Eagle River, and Old World Wisconsin, among others.

The first lady invites the public to join her on the two-mile walk that was arranged in partnership with the Waukesha/Pewaukee Convention & Visitors Bureau. The public is invited to learn more about the first lady’s Walk with Walker initiative at www.walkwithwalkerwi.org
