Whiz Kid’s Accomplishment: In addition to being named the 2012 Distinguished Young Woman of Waukesha, Becca has a history of winning contests in the area and remains incredibly active in the community. She also spent time leading worship while in Guatemala with Elmbrook Church where she worked with families that lived off the city dump.

“It didn’t seem like too much preparation for it,” Becca said about the distinguished young woman contest. “It was just kind of who I am, which is the theme of the program.”

Whiz Kid’s Key to Awesomeness: “A lot of it is basically planning and re-planning,” Becca said. The 17-year-old has to be flexible with her schedule and her activities, but she knows how to stay busy.

In Becca’s Words: When asked what Becca would tell someone in her position or someone juggling a schedule like hers, she laughed a little and was quick to replyPriorities, priorities, priorities.”

“I know that still for myself I struggle with making priorities a priority,” Becca said. “Just basically putting what needs to be put first first.”
