Suspect was drunk and carrying drugs when she was arrested, according to criminal complaint.
A 34-year-old Waukesha woman is facing drug charges after she was verbally threatening to kill children playing outside at an area trailer park, according to a criminal complaint.
Kelly L. Mayer was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, and one count of possession of an illegally obtained prescription drug. If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison and $10,500 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
At 7:28 p.m. March 15, Waukesha police officers were called to a trailer park in the 1700 block of Elder Street after someone reported an drunk woman yelling profanities and threatening to kill children. When an officer arrived at the scene, Mayer was walking towards his squad car and appeared uneasy on her feet.
Mayer told officers she was watching children playing – who were being loud and mean to each other – so she yelled at them. Officers noticed Mayer was on probation and not supposed to be drinking, so he had her submit to a Breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.21 percent.
Mayer was taken to Waukesha County Jail where officers found a baggie of marijuana and a baggie with half an Alprazolam pill inside.
She will make her initial appearance in court July 16.
