Waukesha Police Seek Suspect in Tuesday’s Shooting

The is seeking a 23-year-old man, Casheon M. Beal AKA Cash Money, who they say shot a handgun at a woman’s vehicle at 12:57 a.m. Tuesday at South West Avenue and West Sunset Drive.

A woman reported hearing four or five shots at apartments above a strip mall. Police responded and learned the man had shot at a woman’s vehicle before leaving with another woman, according to a news release from Capt. Ron Oremus.

No one was injured in the incident.

Officers were on scene when they heard another gunshot coming from the northeast area of their location, the release states. The shot was in the distance, Oremus clarified in a phone call with Patch.

Police arrested the other woman and confiscated the .380 caliber handgun, the release states. She was found at her residence near West Roberta and Scott avenues.

Police are still looking for Beal. If anyone has any information as to his whereabouts, please contact Waukesha Police Department immediately (Emergency – 911, Non-Emergency 262-524-3831). Do not make contact with the individual as it is unknown if he is still in possession of any firearms.

Beal is has brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt in the downtown Waukesha area. He has a thin build and longer dreadlocks, according to police.

Beal has a history of criminal behavior, including a 2006 conviction for a battery in Dane County when he lived in Madison. In 2007, he was convicted in Dane County for resisting or obstructing an officer and criminal damage to property. He also is guilty of disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer in 2008, resisting or obstructing an officer in 2009, reckless driving-causing bodily harm in 2009 and operating while intoxicated in 2011, all in Dane County.

Beal has two open cases pending in Waukesha County that were filed in July 2011, including operating while revoked and a license restriction violation. His most recent address in court files was in Madison.
