The Waukesha Police Department is investigating the death of a 4-month-old boy that was reported at 4:37 a.m. Friday in the 1600 block of White Rock Avenue, Capt. Dennis Angle.

While the investigation is continuing and final cause of death needs to be made by the Waukesha County Medical Examiners Office, the death could have been related to co-sleeping, Angle said.

No arrests were made, Angle said.

The police department’s call log indicates the baby was sleeping with the mother.

The medical examiners office will conduct an autopsy and toxicology reports, Angle said.

The call log indicates CPR was attempted on the baby. A police officer called to the scene stated in the log that the baby was unconscious and the officer could not verify a pulse. The baby was transported to the emergency room, according to the call log.
