Waukesha Mayor Jeff Scrima Issues Wager to Pittsburgh-Area Official for Super Bowl XLV

Scrima asking Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners president Robert Orchowski to run (or walk or bike) when Packers beat Steelers on Sunday.

Waukesha Patch is teaming up with Upper St. Clair Patch to deliver friendly smack talk before the big Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game. With Super Bowl XLV and the Lombardi Trophy on the line, the smack talk has begun. Go to the Upper St Clair Patch site and let those Pittsburgh fans know just how the Packers will embarrass the Steelers.

It's common knowledge that Mayor Jeff Scrima is a runner and has even ran marathons.

This time, though, he does not plan on being the one running a marathon. Scrima issued a challenged to Upper St. Clair Board of Commissioners president Robert Orchowski to run (or walk or bike) when Packers beat Steelers on Sunday.

The number of miles? The amount of points that the winning team is ahead.

Obviously, the Packers are going to win and bring the Lombardi Trophy home where it belongs. But, if for some reason – which isn't going to happen – the Steelers win, Scrima agreed to run the number of miles that the Steelers beat the Packers.

But he is confident that won't happen.

"I hope you have some good running shoes, and I hope you are up to running a marathon before the end of this year," Scrima said.

Stay tuned to Waukesha Patch to find out Orchowski's reaction.
