Waukesha County Fair Awards Best in Show

Vendors from Waukesha, Greenfield and Florida highlighted for appearance, cleanliness, professionalism and creativity.

The Waukesha County Fair Association is pleased to announce the winners of its annual “Best of Show” competition held during the 170th Waukesha County Fair, sponsored by Aurora Health Care. Commercial vendors were judged in three categories: Best Outside Vendor, Best Arena Vendor and Best Food Vendor. Each was rated on booth appearance (inside and outside), cleanliness, professionalism and creativity. Judging took place throughout the fair anonymously and winners were awarded certificates and ribbons on the last day of the fair.

Best Arena Vendor: Vietnam Veterans of America-Waukesha Chapter No. 425 – Waukesha
This booth has been a staple in our Arena Marketplace for more than 17 years, honoring past Veterans and continuing to support current Veterans and their families. Every year, the elaborate booth is filled with informative literature, souvenirs, and commemorative pieces for fairgoers of all ages to enjoy. Veterans in the booth are always ready to offer a friendly smile, stories of their past, hope for the future and a sense of security to families of veterans serving now.

Best Outside Vendor: Art’s Cameras Plus – Waukesha and Greenfield
Art’s Cameras Plus, with stores in Waukesha and Greenfield, is one of our key Fair sponsors. In their second year on the grounds, the popular booth featured barnyard animal cutouts that fairgoers could pose behind for photos. Art’s Cameras Plus has been making memories since 1967, offering all the major brands of digital and DSLR cameras, accessories and classes for beginner to advanced photographer.

Best Food Vendor: George’s Fun Foods – Gibsonton, FL
Founded in 1901 by Joseph George, passed down through generations, and currently run by Richard George, George’s Fun Foods has been serving outdoor venues with excellent service and quality food. Mouthwatering Shish-ka-bobs, marinated and cured Jumbo Turkey Legs, and massive Pork Chops on a stick were the signature items enjoyed by fairgoers this year. This was George’s first time at the Waukesha County Fair.
