Waukesha Businessman Planning Indoor Trampoline Park

Helium Trampoline would be the first trampoline park in Wisconsin, if it is approved by New Berlin.

If you could spend your day jumping from trampoline to trampoline, would you?

A Waukesha businessman is looking to build an indoor trampoline park in New Berlin. The trampoline park would be the first in Wisconsin, although there have been 70 trampoline parks built since the first one opened in Las Vegas in 2004, according to a document filed with the City of New Berlin.

Trampoline parks have been rapidly growing in the United States, according to an article in USA Today.

The owner of the proposed park is Steve Steidl, execuive director of KHS USA, 880 Bahcall Court, in Waukesha. Steidl is seeking a conditional use permit to operate Helium Trampoline at 16235 W. Beloit Road. The city is holding a public hearing on the proposal at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 at its City Hall, 3805 S. Casper Drive.

The proposal is for Helium Trampoline to utilize 25,000 square feet of the building on Beloit Road, according to the BizTimes.

The trampoline park’s marketing plan will target children between age 3 and 12 but will also include plans to reach teens, corporate events and fitness, according to the document.

The main court is a 6,700-square-foot trampoline. Other attractions will include a foam pit, an obstacle course and a dodge ball court. The business plans to staff the park with six employees per shift.

Carl,

Is your life really that miserable? Kudos to Mr. Steidl for taking the risk to start a business. I hope it is successful.
