Watt or Matthews: Who's the Better Football Player?
When it comes to making defensive plays happen, J.J. Watt and Clay Matthews are stars. But who is the best?
They’re both big dudes. They’ve both made significant impact on their football teams. They both have nicknames.
The “Claymaker” is Clay Matthews, No. 52 for the Green Bay Packers. Before his injury in the Packers win Nov. 4 over the Arizona Cardinals, he had recorded nine sacks and 21 solo tackles.
J.J. Watt’s been a little more aggressive this season. Nicknamed the “Milk Man” and “J.J. Swat,” this Waukesha County native’s become the face of the Houston Texans, attracting attention from giggling girls and even Justin Bieber.
On the field, Watt’s recorded 39 solo tackles and 11.5 sacks this season.
But we want to know what Waukesha Patch readers think. Is Watt a better football player than Matthews? Or does your Packers allegiance lead you to consider Matthews the best of the best? Tell us in the comments or vote in our poll.

If I were starting a team from scratch and could only choose one, I'd pick Watt.

He's a great player on the field and an even greater person off the field. But teams aren't made of one single person. Who would you pick for your QB (ultimate fantasy team?)
