Video, Photos: Santa Run in Downtown Waukesha
Cold day for a run but it's for a cause that brings warmth to the area homeless.
It may have been frightfully cold when Santas, elves and snowmen of all kind dressed up with warm mittens to participate in the third annual Santa Run in downtown Waukesha. The run was held to benefit the Waukesha Salvation Army.
Despite frigid temperatures, there was no snow for these community residents who dressed up as Santa’s stand-ins as the Jolly Old Man is drinking hot chocolate and working on presents.

What a hoot! The race was more of big party than anything else. What might not be so obvious are those great helpers that kept the race safe. Volunteers came out of nowhere to man the 22 intersections of the race. The police showed up with a lead and chase car. What great cooperation! Safety was at what I think was an all-time high! THANKS to ALL who helped! Lets have an even bigger party next year!
