Vandal Tags St. Andrew's Church With 'Act Like Christ' Graffiti

Waukesha church's siding may need to be replaced to clean up graffiti left behind by unknown suspect.

“We are having troubles finding a way to clean it off,” Fryda said. “… My fear is at this point we may have to replace portions of the siding.”

The church reported the vandalism at 8:57 a.m. Wednesday to the Waukesha Police Department but as far as Fryda knows, there are no suspects. The pastor said the paint is the same color that was used to tag a neighboring bus shelter a few weeks ago.

The congregation at St. Andrew’s has “incredibly wonderful hearts” and it is saddening to think that people think Christians are not acting like Christ, Fryda said.

“That is something that we are about is to be like Christ,” Fryda said. “We don’t think it is an attack against us. We think it is an attack against Christianity."

The St. Andrew’s congregation works hard to give back to the community, Fryda said, and tries to be like Christ, including forgiveness.

“It just saddens us that somebody would be destructive in that way,” she said.
