Two Businesses Report Possible Scam from Man Claiming to be “Ron Johnson”
Waukesha Police Department calls from Thursday through Sunday.
Two businesses reported to the Waukesha Police Department at 5:59 p.m. and 5:48 p.m. Saturday that a person named “Ron Johnson” was making suspicious phone calls, stating he knew everything about the employees and managers at the businesses. The businesses caught on to the potential scam and notified police.
In other police calls:
• A woman received a head injury during a two-car accident at 3:08 p.m. Thursday at Delafield Street and Northview Road.
• A caller in the 100 block of Caldwell Street reported at 4:52 p.m. Thursday that a neighbor was running an extension cord to the house, possibly stealing electricity.
• Police reported a residence in the 700 block of Madison Street had a municipal ordinance violation for no address on the side of the building at 5:25 p.m. Thursday.
• The theft of a cell phone was reported at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at La Casa de Esperanza, 410 Arcadian Ave.
• A person was arrested after a domestic disturbance was reported at 9:58 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Delafield Street.
• A person in the 2100 block of Macarthur Road reported at 11:06 p.m. Thursday that bikes that were chained to plumbing were knocked down and a neighbor left a note to not leave the bikes there. No complaint was filed.
• A person was arrested for intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 12:49 a.m. Friday during a traffic stop at West Sunset Drive and South Grand Avenue.
• A person was arrested for intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 1:34 a.m. Friday in the 2100 block of East Moreland Boulevard.
• A person was taken into protective custody following a disturbance at 10:15 a.m. Friday in the 1800 block of Erin Lane.
• A person was arrested at Waukesha North High School, 2222 Michigan Ave., at 10:21 a.m. Friday.
• A disorderly conduct incident was reported at 11:49 a.m. Friday at Harvey Phillip Alternative School, 621 College Ave.
• The theft of a cart full of groceries was reported at 12:23 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of East Sunset Drive.
• A person was arrested for disorderly conduct after it was reported at 1:44 p.m. Friday that the person was sleeping in the 100 block of North West Barstow Street.
• The theft of 20 video games was reported at 2:49 p.m. Friday in the 2200 block of West St. Paul Avenue.
• A woman was arrested for retail theft at 5:54 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 2000 S. West Ave.
• A group of juveniles were warned after it was reported at 6:32 p.m. Friday that a juvenile kicked the head off a reindeer decoration in the 2100 block of Yvonne Street.
• A gift card was stolen from the mail at 9:22 p.m. Friday in the 2100 block of Kensington Drive.
• A person was arrested for intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 1:56 a.m. Saturday during a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Springdale Drive.
• The theft of items from a basement was reported at 12:51 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of North Barstow Street.
• The theft of items was reported at 8:54 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of East Sunset Drive. The store was going to review the video tape and contact police with further information.
• A person was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop at 12:34 a.m. Sunday at East Park Avenue and North Barstow Street.
• A person was arrested for intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 2:03 a.m. Sunday during a traffic stop at North West Avenue and Prospect Court.
• Two people were arrested – one for intoxicated driving – during a traffic stop at 3:49 a.m. Sunday at North Moreland Boulevard and Michigan Avenue. Police used a Taser on one person and placed the person in a restraint chair.
• Two people were warned and advised about resources after it was reported at 5:58 a.m. Sunday that they were sleeping under folding tables at a business in the 1400 block of Summit Avenue
