Man, 22, Faces Felony After Overdosing on Heroin
Authorities discovered heroin on spoons and a syringe after Andrew J. Doubek, of the Town of Waukesha, overdosed in April, according to a criminal complaint.
A Town of Waukesha man is facing felony drug charges after he allegedly overdosed on heroin inside his home in April.
Andrew J. Doubek, 22, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Wednesday with one count of possession of narcotic drugs and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, he faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On April 13, Waukesha County sheriff’s deputies were called to Doubek’s home in the S3400 block of Marlene Lane after it was discovered he overdosed on heroin. His mother gave deputies a syringe she believed he used to inject the drug and two spoons were found nearby.
A lab test later showed the presence of heroin on the items.
He will make his initial appearance in court Sept. 17.
