Nothing surprises me for Cambridge Ave. I used to live on that side of town years ago. And they had cops up in that area alot. Alot of strange people in the 100 block of Cambridge.
Bad place to live and raise a child.

There are worse places in this town to live and raise a child.

I had to delete Sunnie's comment for violating our terms of use, however, I am including the comment without the violation here:
Michelle- I have seen you comment on how horrible the people and area of Cambridge Ave are. Where do you live now that makes you SOOO much better? I live there- I served my country for 8 years, I work with people in the community who others cast aside and ignore, I go to school full time and am raising a son in that "bad place."

Without her comments, that is not her post. Either leave it or delete it entirely. Editing people's thoughts is not the job of a journalist. She said what she said. Her own comments put her in the same mold that she is trying to escape. Perhaps she should behave appropriately by not using that language rather than worry about what others are thinking.

Although it always concerns me how often we send out these "tactical teams" I support Sarah's decision to post the comment she edited for language.
There's a certain level of decorum maintained on Sarah's articles ie: make any true statement you want but don't use profanity.
This, patch.com, is a private organization. If you want to exercise unfettered free speech (TPM restrictions of course apply) head downtown around 1am and say anything you want.
Good for you for taking the time to provide the transparency we all deserve. And shame Sunnie for wasting the time of an individual who may eventually become an investigative reporter for our community.

I'd stand up for my neighborhood, too! People weren't just thinking, they were writing their negative comments...just sad that they need to generalize and prejudge.

Want to say I live there myself and raise my son there. It really is not bad of a neighborhood. It really don't matter where u are anymore for anything to happen. Look at that small town in Connecticut... quiet small town with a horrific shooting...my son is doing just fine where we live
