Rep. Kuglitsch Responds to State of State Address
Local assemblyman represents portions of Waukesha.
State Rep. Mike Kuglitsch, a Republican, released the following statement following Governor Scott Walker’s second State of the State address in Madison:
“Last year we came into office with a $3.6 billion dollar deficit, a struggling economy, and taxes that were continually on the rise. Since our Governor’s last address, we have balanced our budget, began creating an environment where employers could do business, put power back in the hands of taxpaying citizens and we did this all without raising taxes.
“When I first took office, nearly $640 was owed for every man, woman and child in Wisconsin, we had millions of dollars in unpaid bills, and the Doyle Administration raised taxes by nearly 3 billion dollars. I am pleased to say that this Republican administration began to put Wisconsin on track to fiscal responsibility and proper job creation through our Budget Repair Bill and the 2011-2013 biennial budget.
“Job creation continues to be Governor Walker’s, as well as my, top priority the rest of this term. We must examine every statute to see where we can improve our business climate. We have passed some very successful job bills this past year and I am eager to continue working on various job bills that connect the unemployed with employers across the state as well as reduce regulations that have hindered job growth in the past.
“Wisconsin is on the right track and it is because of these reforms that we have our lowest unemployment rate since 2008 and our lowest property taxes in 15 years. We have seen what Democrats have done in our surrounding states and we simply cannot take the chance of excessive spending and taxes for Wisconsin citizens. We still have a lot of work to do, but I am pleased with Governor Walker’s reforms and I am happy to stand with him.”

consumer prices rising, employers paing more for fuel and supplies, taxes have risen for most because of the higher cost of maintaining everything for municipalities and losses in revenue sharing, public workers lost wages as well as private sector employees. so there is less money being spent here by working families. plus six straight months of job losses, we are the only state in the union to have this for six straight months. walkers plan isn't working. and we are even less open for buisiness then before. plus now we have such a divide in this state, that neighbors aren't talking to one another because of political turmoil ! wisconsin has changed, and not for the better!

Do you understand what a Governor actually does? Walker has nothing to do with consumer prices or the price of fuel. Furthermore, you are incorrect in that most people's taxes actually went down this year in Wisconsin. You are also incorrect in stating that public workers lost wages when they did not. In almost all cases, their salaries stayed exactly the same. Plus, with Walker's budget repair bill public workers did not get laid off as many would have without the BRB.
As for your neighbors, I don't know about you, but I still talk to my neighbors who are teachers. In fact they support Walker. My wife is also a school teacher and she supports Walker too as do a few others at her school. Maybe there are other neighbors who aren't talking to each other, but It really has nothing to do with political turmoil. More so it has everything to do with the boorish behavior of the union members and teachers who whine, threaten, assault and continue to act like petulant little children in regards to paying a small sum towards their own health care/pension costs.
If I had a neighbor who acted like that wouldn't talk to them either, regardless of which political party they support.

six straight months of job losses in wisconsin! the only state in the union to bare that distinction! it's not working! and municipal crews are already understaffed there is no room for more layoffs . you would be the first guy complaining when your street isn't plowed soon enough. people who aren't working aren't paying income taxes. so with all the job losses , how is scotty going to balance the budget next?

Please stop the misinformation. There have not been any layoffs where communities used the tools in Walkers BRB. The only communities facing any types of layoffs due to Walker's BRB are those that communities that sold the majority of their citizens down the river in order to appease a small minority.by unnecessarily extending their union contracts.
I also have a big SUV, so waiting for streets to be plowed is never a problem. Nice try though.

After watching news coverage on all of Milwaukee's channels, it became very apparent just how unhinged these recallers are. Their efforts will backfire as they are exposed as the loons they really are. And not one word from the Democrats about the lack of civility from these recall loons.
Keep up the good work Rep. Kuglitsch.

What was the Net jobs gained or loss for all of 2011???

Tens of thousands more people are working today than when Walker took office. He has a net job creation gain and has avoided laying off state employees.
Nobody said this was going to be easy, but he is doing a great job considering the hand he was dealt by Doyle. Even Tom Barrett is utilizing Walker's BRB tools to balance his Milwaukee city budget.

According to Politifact - http://tiny.cc/aqbn5 - Walker has a net gain of 13,500 jobs in the private industry since he took office. There have been no gains in the last 6 months. Also, government jobs, such as teachers, are not included in this count.

If food and fuel prices are going up, which they are, it is more likely a result of the buffoons in DC who are printing money, call it economic easing if you like, and blocking fuel exploration and exploitation than the actions of our Governor.
We might have all been driving electric cars by now if the eco-nazi's hadn't suspended nuclear power plant construction 30 years ago. The Chinese are contracting with GE to construct Thorium molten salt reactors.... and we have a 'service economy'.. maybe we can clean each others carpets and get rich that way.
I would rather be associated with the party of greed than the party of thieves and economic idiots that the left represents.
While we are discussing thieves, lets examine the Wisconsin higher education system and determine our ROI on the students that we are paying to educate.... lot of jobs for poly sci majors? or social workers? If you want to advance our economic position, perhaps we should be educating students in vocations that are actually profitable enough to allow the graduates to pay off their student loans.

Now that it has been revealed that scooter had a router 20 feet from his office that operated an illegal election scheme and was used to view child porno. One has been arrested for the child porno viewed on the router. How many more will be arrested for child porno? Did scooter view the child porno too? Scooter had a scheme to remove files from hard drives so scooter thought they were safe. This was a state wide network to elect Walker set up by the National GOP Chairman.
Scooter told Wisconsin for three months Act 10 was to balance the budget. Then under oath he admitted it was just a plot to take out Obama. The schools and the children were just victims of his get rich quick scheme. Then he returned to Wisconsin like his confession never happened and started the lie again stating it was about the budget.
Scooter has stated since July he has balanced the budget and now he reported to the Feds Wisconsin has a deficit. Once again the very next day scooter state of the union speech he started his lying again. I balanced the budget. Webster’s says a person who covers a lie with a lie has no conscience and is a psychopath and to change what is norm for personal political or religious reasons is an act of perversion. Now I can only wonder what type of thing could support a child porno psychopathic pervert. Now we know why they gets there kicks harming children and seniors. What ever it is that does is not a good thing. Human beings could and would not support that

@Jerry Person-- I hope you enjoy living in that fantasy world you inhabit. Governor Walkers reforms are working...even the liberal Milwaukee JS has admitted as much.
More and more folks are finding out for themselves that the reforms are working, and they don't agree with this nonsense recall effort. Dems and unions have awoken a sleeping giant, and this giant consisting of Independents, Conservatives, Reagan Democrats, Libertarians, TEA Party folks and Republicans will steamroll over any challeneger to the Governor.

6 consecutive months of job loss since Governor Walker passed his budget. That's his record to sell. Good luck!
