Railroad Crossings To Close Wednesday

Wisconsin and Southern Railroad is replacing rails in Waukesha.

 

The Wisconsin and Southern Railroad plans to close its crossings in the City of Waukesha to traffic on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, in order to replace the rails, according to the city’s Department of Public Works.

Each crossing will be closed for 30 to 40 minutes. Work will begin with the crossing at South Grandview Boulevard, which is just south of Macarthur Road. Work will move east with the crossings at MacArthur Road. which is east of South Grandview Boulevard, North Prairie Avenue, which is south of West St. Paul Avenue, North West Avenue, which is south of Dunbar Avenue, Maple Avenue, which is south of Williams Street and North Grand Avenue, which is south of Williams Street. 

Work will start after 8 a.m. and last until mid-day, according to the city.
