Pro-Walker Rally Now Has a Name — and a Fresh New Face [VIDEO]

Jerrid Madden, a 16-year-old political activist, will be the first featured speaker at an event featuring a powerful lineup of political leaders.

The first major pro-Scott Walker rally organized in the state since a recall movement began now has an official name: Celebrate Walker.

The event, scheduled for Jan. 21 in Wauwatosa's Hart Park, also has a speaker schedule, a poster and flyer, its very own political action committee — and a new, young face and voice who organizers say looks and sounds like the conservative movement of the future.

Event organizers announced that 16-year-old Jerrid Madden of Muskego will be the first featured speaker of the day, following an introduction by state Sen. Leah Vukmir.

It's Jerrid's first speaking engagement, and he's not a bit nervous, even though he'll be followed by a dozen of the most prominent Republican leaders in the state. In fact, he's pumped up to be able to launch a rally for Walker, his political hero.

"You may not be old enough to vote, but you're old enough to get out the vote," Jerrid said. "I just try to do whatever I can to acknowledge people and enlighten them about politics and how it affects us every day."

Organizers are billing his speech as the introduction of the "Next Generation Conservative," and that will be his theme.

Jerrid, a sophomore at Mukwonago High School, began wearing a Stand With Walker button to school and before long was volunteering to counter-protest the Recall Walker movement and to pass out pro-Walker signs.

Jerrid is "a little bit different" than most teenagers, even those who have an interest in politics, said Paris Procopis, president of the new political action committee Onward Wisconsin, organized to support next Saturday's rally and others to come.

"He's inspired by some of the events he's gone to ... ultimately leading to, 'Hey, I want to get involved. I want to be able to help somehow.'"

___________________________

Here's the announced order of events and speakers, subject to change, beginning at 1 p.m., with speakers tentatively scheduled every 15 minutes:

  • Welcome – Pledge of Allegiance – National Anthem
  • State Sen. Leah Vukmir
  • Jerrid Madden, Mukwonago High School Student
  • State Sen. Alberta Darling
  • State Sen. Van Wangard
  • State Rep.David Craig
  • State Rep. Jeff Stone
  • State Rep. Robin Vos
  • Hispanic Chamber Board Member Perfecto Rivera
  • Kim Simac
  • State Sen. Glenn Grothman
  • Dr. Tim Nerenz
  • State Treasurer Kurt Schuller
  • Former U.S. Congressman Mark Neumann, candidate for U.S. Senate
  • State Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald, candidate for U.S. Senate
  • Former Gov. Tommy Thompson
  • Conclusion, now scheduled for 4:25 p.m.

The long-range forecast for the day is for overcast skies with a temperature of 33 degrees, and no snow or rain.

Some warmer temperatures are expected leading up to the event, with a current prediction of 40 degrees for Monday, which may melt some of the snow already on the ground. However, some new snow may fall later in the week as the thermometer dips again.

Here's an example of GOP-bagger "fiscal responsibility" for you . . .
Just like they calim the Dems do, only when they redistribute the wealth, in's not to people who really need it, or will actuall make good use of it spending it in the local economy, but rather to their rich friends who simply invest more in financial markets, making the rich richer and avoiding paying taxes on capital gains.

This kid hasn't matured enough to figure that out yet, but he thinks he has all the answers.

At 16 they should debating an learning HOW our Government works, even younger. But not throwen up on a Podium an made a specticle, cause some politician wants to make a Political points! When I was a kid I had to research candidates and make a compelling verbal argument. My mother would vote based on that research so it was important. I thus made my first "unofficial vote" at the age of 12 and was proud to stand by my mother and watch her make the official vote.

Just wondering if this young man had to experience the democratic process with the degree of rigor I had to in our two-party household or if he's just parroting his parents.

Bren@ Kid's today do not have to make a compelling argument, they can just learn from their liberal parents that they can just try and overturn an election with lies and distortions later. If first you don't succeed lie and lie again. This is what democracy looks like, remember?

I can't believe someone jus made an I o,ovation that Jerrid is "parroting" his parents, when it appears his mom was unique enough to "parrot" the research of her kid. I won't call that lazy, just "unique".

I would never base my vote on the subjective research of my child. There are so many flaws in that logic I won't even waste my time ticking through them.

Ovation? I would agree my experience was apparently unique. I would also call it an extraordinary civics lesson.

My research wasn't subjective. It's not possible to make a compelling argument without completely understanding the issue.

I ask my 16 yr old grandson friends (7 of them), if they knew what the "State of the Union Address" was. Not one of them but my grandson who we raised like u Bren in a two party house hold knew what We were talking about. Kids this old should NOT be on a podium being used for Political games such as these. They should have started at a early age, learning about out Government, watching their parents an just starting to form opinions on political issues/most that are above their intelligent level at age 16. My guess is he is Parroting what ever they put him up to! That I find a sad way to learn/get involved in our Gov.

Greg, how many people does it take to constitute a "rally?" I seem to remember the pro-Walker faction mustering several hundred people and Sarah Palin for a "rally" in Madison-which was utterly surrounded and drowned out by 20,000+ protesters! (Unless you watch Fox, through the wonder of audio technology, they were able to retrieve Sarah's speech and make it sound as if everyone could hear. Right!)

In answer to your weird, irrelevant question, a rally is any group of people united for a cause. Conservative rallies tend to be smaller because we actually work for a living, have families, run businesses, and aren't motivated by emotions. Like you.

We are far more intellectual and reserved. We vet, we don't knock down the pillars of civilization to get our way, or bring in unions from other states on busses to make our events look larger.

You are not the first to try to categorize me on Patch, and not the first to fail, so be not disheartened. If you followed other comments I have made on this site you would have known that I am not associated with any public or private union, and have no contact with union stewards or leadership. So you would not have exposed yourself in this way.

Concerning the "puppet" portion of your comment, I am not, nor have I ever been, a puppet. I have, however, manipulated several different varieties of puppet, including marionettes (handled from above with strings), rod puppets (manipulated from below via posts and rods), hand puppets, finger puppets, and also tried on a puppet that was manipulated from inside using several rather ingenious mechanisms.

I'm friends with a young conservative guy on another site. He's nineteen now, but I've known him since he was sixteen. All you have done is open the door to ongoing recalls!! Oh wait the right is not as shall we say childish as the left. Obviously because we had to deal with Doyles failed policys for what 2 terms. No recalls there? Hmmmmm more of the same failed policies in Washington. I really feel sorry for those of you who have been so brain washed into thinking the big unions will provide for you.

@Patriot --Excuse me, but where did you get the idea that I didn't 'learn a trade or something'? When there are no openings in one's trade or profession, one does what one has to do to survive -- dig ditches if necessary.

This is not Scott Walker's fault. The trend has been going on for thirty years, but Gov. Walker is continuing it. Unions are not a panacea, but they do hold the line against the erosion of wages and benefits.

The State did "speak" when Walker was elected but how many people voted based on his promises to create jobs? The recent poll I saw indicated that 24% of Wisconsin Republicans were supporting the recall (perhaps people like my dad's friend, a public employee who recently received her layoff notice. He's a Republican too, and very upset about this). Since Scott Walker didn't win by a landslide, who knows what will happen.

I personally looked into the recall after the collective bargaining debacle began, and I realized that the amount of concessions wrung from workers was nearly equal with his proposed corporate tax cuts. I believed that skinning public employees to pay for his unfunded corporate tax cuts abhorrent. I was also appalled by Walker's continuing and arrogant disregard for law and his constituents, same as when he was Milwaukee's County Executive. Then I started hearing the names of the Koch brothers and started doing some research. My findings sickened me. And spurred my support for the recall, because I realized that Wisconsin after one full term of Scott Walker would change my state forever and not for the better.

So here's your take-away Patriot. The Governor didn't stand up to the "union," he stabbed it in the back to pay for his unfunded corporate tax cuts. Not to address the budget shortfall. Not to make them "pay their fair share," (or what you and I would call part of our work compensation package). To pay for corporate tax cuts.

So even if you honestly and naively believe that paying civil servants a fair wage for work performed is taking money out of your families' pockets (or family's singular-not sure), the concessions aren't putting any money back into them. They are funding the next wave of "Job Creators" that will probably decide to use their tax cut gains to build factories in China, pocket it, or create a few token jobs.

"Libs" are now responsible for the 1% (walton heirs) not paying for their empoyees' health care! As far as I know, it's not the "Libs" that are working on behalf of the 1%. It's the conservatives. Don't make the billionaires pay taxes or pay for health care or bargain with their workers--oh no! Let them do whatever they want and in the end, outsource all their jobs because "taxes are too high." High taxes (which are paid by workers mostly) mean higher standards of living and better services. Low or no taxes mean a failed state like Somalia. Not where I want to live.

First of all, skinnyDUDE, is it possible for you to have a discussion without resorting to insults and ad hominems?

What don't I like? I don't like that Governor Walker has fixed his budget problems with another form of can-kickiing. Wisconsin income tax remains the same, unless you are a business, in which case you got a break, or if you are the working poor who relied on the EIC, in which case it will increase. The savings have come from reduced state aid to local governments, which will have to deal with the fallout somehow, either through increased property tax or decreased services.

Other savings come from cuts to social programs. Kick people off BadgerCare? Great -- watch our hospital costs and insurance premiums rise to make up for increased ER use and bad debts.

I am one of the taxpayers who will be hurt by this. I have never yet used one of those entitlements you say I am driven by, but I understand the need to care for those people who are hardest hit by this bad economy.

I am in favor of fiscal responsibility too, but of a more even-handed kind.

Remember, unbridled capitalism brought us the Great Depression. Mitt Romney's form of investment capitalism brought us this current mess.

One of the reasons Wisconsin has budget troubles is because sales tax revenues are off, and that's because people are financially strapped. Cutting workers' wages and benefits, public sector or private, will not help.

Flopping from Doyle to Illinois, suggesting Randy 1949 is "ignorant," you are floundering in your attempts to assemble the misinformation you have been fed into a reasoned argument. Stop stressing yourself out because you are not going to succeed with the tools you have at hand. Remember the nonpartisan Pew poll in 2009 that identified Fox as the most ideological news network, and the recent Fairleigh Dickinson poll (2011) that identified Fox viewers as least informed. Comment_arrow

@SkinnyDUDE:
I'm not a spokesperson for Jim Doyle. Jim Doyle also penalized state workers with furloughs, but I think he realized that state workers are tax payers too and that to cut their pay by 8-12% in one year would greatly harm their ability to spend money and stimulate the economy, Maybe that's why he did smaller cuts. But again, I'm not his spokesperson don't know his thoughts. I'm talking about issues--the conservative idea to give everything to corporations at the expense of tax payers in hoping it'll trickle all over us. It doesn't work. It doesn't work for democrats or republicans. My solution is to strengthen and rebuild the middle class, not gut it. Start taxing corporations and billionaires. Let them pay their share. Don't allow them to outsource jobs to other countries. Trying to pretend government workers are the problem only makes the argument for your leaders to outsource more jobs. Take the pension. The 1/2 of the pension managed by state workers costs $29 million. The half managed on wall street costs $197 million. Outsourcing hurts Wisconsin and the US and costs tax payers more money. In the case of the pension management, it costs tax payers $158 million more for the outsourced part than for the part managed by state employees. There's my answer.

Thanks for your clueless answer. It is clear you do not understand capitalism . You cant force any businesses to stay here with higher taxes .You get the opposite they leave and you get a weaker middle class. Its quite obvious your solutions are more based in socialism . But if you look at Europe where socialism is the model they are all pretty much Broke. Your GREECE solution is the colapse of the nation or the state
I do believe there are things Your man Obama could do to enhance businesses in this country , but unfortunately he is a socialist too. But you both have one thing in common. You dont understand the economy, capitalism of fiscal responsibilty..
Do you know how many people lose there life savings trying to create a successful business and grow this economy ? No need to answer ........just keep your hand out and worry about yourself. Unfortunately, The problem with Socialism is sooner or later you run out of other peoples money. At that point ....WERE GREECE TOO!

Most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)
The stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points)

How nice for little Jerrid! Now he can speak from personal experience about how Walker's drastic regulations have HELPED him and so many others! He can speak on how his family is suddenly in a better position to buy, say, FOOD or pay rent. He can speak to the joys of parents suddenly without a collective voice when employers start cheating workers of pay and sneakily finding ways to fire employees for being female, gay, Hispanic or pregnant, and crafting rules that attempt to force employees to keep each individual act of employer wrongdoing secret or face dismissal for "breaking company rules". That's what we get in Wyoming. Now Wisconsin gets it, too. Isn't that WONDERFUL, Jerrid?

Yes, Jerrid-- tell us all about why your young life is dedicated to Walker's dedication to "helping" the average Wisconsin worker?

Scott Walker 1,128,941
52 % vs
Tom Barrett 1,004,303
THE LAST UNION FUNDED STATE ELECTION:
Justice David Prosser 752,697
jJanice Kloppenburg, 745,691.
The results are telling. The recall organizers and paid Union people set out and openly stated they were going to get 1 million signitures to recall Walker. That never happen as the Pre Fraud count is more in the ball park of 700,000 . Of course after challenges and obvious fraud that comes with these will reduce that number by thousands .
The state once always considered a SAFE blue state has been turning to more conservative based and solution based Conservatives at the voting box. Walker will likely be involved in a recall election , but as this state continues to trend away from its old failings. The results are not in, but Conservatives will turn out with the confidence that they are now more of them than Liberals. The results bare this out . It is likely the recall signitures will tally about 60 percent of the votes Barret recieved. Barret the democratic canidate has criticized the reforms but utilized them fully to save the city of milwaukee about 300 million dollars and kept property taxes flat.
Liberals might want to keep there head in the sand abit longer .Because if they look up and pay attention they might notice a trend they dont like. Taxpayers have spoken again and again. The reforms are working so Wisconsin will be moving FORWARD and not BACK ! Get use to it !

WORKING SKINNY? Those of us preparing the end of the year payroll reports for 2011 have now been assessed an additional tax for federal unemployment. Since Wisconsin has not repaid its federal unemployment loan obligations, it has lost the credit reduction for state unemployment taxes paid, and businesses are assessed for the credit reduction.Earlier in 2011, Wisconsin imposed a special assessment on unemployment to businesses, and another special assessment is on the way. There now have been three special "taxes" imposed on Wisconsin businesses. Is this not a tax increase for Wisconsin businesses? The State of Wisconsin cannot now claim there are no tax increases for businesses.

On top of that, Wisconsin has lost its reciprocity agreement with Minnesota because it has not met its obligations to Minnesota for withholding taxes collected and has not paid its loan obligations to Minnesota. What would happen if Wisconsin businesses withheld their tax obligations to the state? We all know the answer to that question. How can the state not pay its debt obligations and, worse, pass it on to Wisconsin businesses?

Scott Walker lied to Wisconsinites when he dropped what he jokingly called "the bomb" on the middle class with his union-busting legislation. Scott Walker NEVER campaigned on the elimination of collective bargaining rights. While it's true that Walker has always been an enemy of labor, and consistently forced wage and benefit concessions from public employees as Milwaukee County Executive, he never told the people of Wisconsin that he planned to eliminate collective bargaining rights and heap the burden of balancing the state's budget solely on the backs of working families.
Then Scott Walker Tells Phony "Koch" Brother He Will Trick The Democrats-
In his phone call with who he thought was David Koch, a wealthy out-of-state financer of conservative causes who made contributions to Walker's gubernatorial campaign totaling $43,000, and a $1 million contribution to the Republican Governors Association, which spent $3.4 million on television ads in support of Walker's campaign, Walker stated that he would trick Democratic senators into returning to Wisconsin by promising to "listen" to them, but would actually force a vote on his contentious legislation.

I can show you newsletters from the firefighters and weac. Plus around 20 articles about healthcare and pensions. There also are campaign ads on youtube. Here is one of my favorite articles BEFORE the election showing the unions voicing out about collective bargaining.

"Our members oppose taking away their rights to collective bargaining, so they would definitely raise their voices against it," Christina Brey, speaking for the Wisconsin Education Association Council, said of Walker's plan.

Schools have been able to patch together some kind of budget with leftover stimulus money, but next year they are in for a world of hurt. Rural districts have to decide between larger class sizes and bussing. Rural districts do not have the option of charter or private schools as an alternative. Our state government is no longer transparent, preferring to do things behind closed doors and without public input.

Walker ripped Wisconsin apart to serve his corporate special interest donors and his schemes have failed Wisconsin."

Walker promised to create 250,000 jobs during his campaign, which would have put the unemployment rate at 0.03, an impossible and preposterous claim. Since June, Wisconsin has lost nearly 28,000 jobs, despite the Republican-controlled legislature passing all of Walker's failing plans, including:

Handing out $2.3 billion in new tax breaks for corporations and the rich
Ending the collective bargaining rights of 175,000 Wisconsinites
Gutting public education funds by $1.6 billion
Planning to cut 65,000 people, including 29,000 children, from health care
Raising taxes by $70 million on seniors and the working poor

Just now you will have to pay a little like the rest of us in this Country. Dont like it then join a private sector union where I have a choice to purchase said product or service or shop around. As a tax payer I have no choice when u the public sector union workers decide u want better benefits, pay ect. NOT ANYMORE. Hold teachers accountable rather than protect them just because they belong to a union, same goes for the state and city worker

The poor , minority and the disabled. These are the groups the LEFT say will be harmed by VOTER ID . When in fact. They are the most likely to be on government aid which requires a ID to recieve it. When a ID is tied to aid its amazing how many become enpowered to get one .Of course the left talking point is another lie. The Pro Fraud Democratic party has lost all creditibility on any issue.
Ian Murphy is a darling of the left . Remember he taped the fameous but non issue story of a phone converation to Walker as a republican donor. The libs talk of this alot. What they dont tell you about their left wing darling is he hates the US TROOPS on a indivual level. This gutless WORM titled the article F**K THE TROOPS in the not so distant past. But the Union and the dems love the guy .His article goes on to say things like the soldiers even get COOL REBOTIC ARMS etc.... Of course, he wont say this to a soldier's face cause he likely get his lights punched out at a minimum.
But he can spew the HATE and the lefties will ignore this Misdeed cause he gave them a talking point. So instead they do fund raisers with him. Wow...the left has no class but alot of class warfare. they embrace a Bozo like Murphy
Talk about selling your souls to the devil . They support voter fraud , union thugery, taxpayer rape and a troop bashing liberal is their darling. Congrats on all that ...but I am with Walker on moving the state FORWARD and not back to complete Liberal Failure.

I am really just disappointed with 90% of the people who commented towards each other in a negative manner. I like the fact that the kiddo is involved, however I do not believe he has done enough research to see what benefits the people of the state best. He may not have looked at it from different perspectives, maybe just one. Like where do I stand today and how will this affect ME. What if for some reason he were to become disabled or need state aid and programs are cut or he isn't eligible? Would he feel different about it then? Just things like that, look at ALL the angles and find what is best for everybody, not just what he assumes his position will be and is for most people he knows now. Things can change your position in the blink of an eye, having kids, becoming disabled, or losing jobs. You never know and it should be fair for all the people that need help as well as the people that provide it. I am so tired of the constant fighting between the left and right. It's become nothing but a "I know more than you" fiasco with throwing out blog info and talking points... What's best for everybody should be easy to see AND agree upon. This is just sad. I miss the old Wisco.

What is so difficult about talking about the facts, finding what works, and leaving OPINIONS about the people you live around out of it? The people that sit on here and name call are giving BOTH PARTIES a bad reputation, this is ridiculous. Why divide the state even further? It seems to me people have become idle and look for an excuse (cause) to keep them busy but instead of stating facts and working hard to get to a solution, it is nothing but adding fuel to the fire because you don't like what one person says. Both sides are always going to have valid facts that should be the base of the solution and grow from there. If you are totally able to work and choose not to, then no you do not deserve state assistance, if you are living with a medical condition (fibro, CP, Quadrapalegic) then yes you should receive help. Not all people have a "give me" attitude and some people are just far too judgmental on others which is why you have only and opinion and are not doing anything to make a difference. Everybody strays so far from what we should be doing and makes this a personal attack on their neighbors, this should stop already.

@Laurel: Well said. I've tried to say that, but gave up. I'm not beholden to any person or party--I'm talking about issues. No party or governor is perfect. Because I'm against these harsh policies (my sister took an 8% pay cut because of the budget repair bill, many schools have been hurt, and people kicked off badger care) does NOT mean I'm a fan of Jim Doyle. I'm talking about issues, not personalities. There is overlap, no doubt, as a person's ideologies affect their decisions and policies--but I do not think those ideologies should make a politician blind to his constituents. Today's politicians sometimes think they only need to worry about whatever percentage of people elected them--and the percentages are always so close. So that is not fair to a huge minority--to just cater to those you consider on your side. The polarization is not good for anyone.

I support walker like I supported Bush. It is great when our government hands out no oversite no bid contracts for the good of the society. It is good when job creators like Bush created milions and millions of jobs in korea, China, and in dozens of countries. iot built a world wide economy. Walker has been traveling America creating jobs. Like walkers no bid no oversite contract with logistics. It created 127 jobs in Arizona and 32 jobs in Colorado. It only ended 105 Wisconsin state employees jobs. This is a plus 54 jobs gain. Walker says by 2014 it will start to show the state a savings. Now thaat is job creation. Thank you Scott,

Jerry--True. Why would he want to "create" more jobs in other countries and states? Not only for payback, but mainly because it gets rid of government workers and accelerates the race to the bottom. If they can get rid of unions and union workers, they won't need to send the jobs to China and Mianmar. We'll make less than those workers and that's the goal. None of these right wingers care that this group of radicals get their legislation from ALEC and that legislation is vetted by corporations. They see no value to government or citizens or public policy. Just give more to the 1%--George Soros and the Kochs and Waltons.

Did you ever consider that they might be looking to get rid of the US post office because it loses tons of money and has largely been obsoleted by the rise of e-mail and electronic communication?

Comment_arrow

donna c

5:08 pm on Monday, January 16, 2012

@cowdung. No. The post office actually is profitable. A 2006 law mandated that they pay their pensions 75 years into the future and that has strapped them financially. They're paying for pensions for people who haven't been born yet. The post office is very important but to different people. As you point out, some people (myself included) don't use it much any more. But farmers send seeds and even chicks and bees via the post office and they don't have any other option. UPS is way too expensive, AND UPS subcontracts with the post office for rural areas. So, if the post office goes out of business, that is one example of the people who will be hurt by it. Another is people overseas including soldiers and people who sell on Ebay. The private sector (UPS and FedEx) can not run as efficiently as the post office because they must make a profit. They could not and will not take a piece of mail from one household (or farm) and get it to another hundreds or thousands of miles away for 44 cents (if that's the current price).

Comment_arrow

CowDung

5:56 pm on Monday, January 16, 2012

Which is it, Donna? Are they 'cash strapped' or are they profitable? It's pretty hard to be both at the same time.

Certainly some people will be affected should the post office close, but most people will only notice because of the extra space in their trash bin caused by a lack of junk mail...

Comment_arrow

donna c

6:10 pm on Monday, January 16, 2012

Hey Cowdung. Actually, both. They are not allowed to make a profit, but they are profitable. That's partly why that law was passed--but funding 75 years of pensions within the 10-year time frame is way too much and cuts into operations. So, they're very efficient and can do what they do more efficiently than a for-profit entity but they really are not allowed to make a profit--like some of the other government agencies. And that's one of the differences between a government agency and a for-profit corporation--the need for a profit. Many can not run as efficiently as government because they need to have10-20% in profits.

Actually The records show the Largest depression in American History was George`s fault. He had help from Cheney , rummy and a few other schemers. The records show they spent one million dollars a minute. That`s why Bush and the Tea party are at odds. Educated American`s know this. The dropout party are your local village idiots. They wave their Chinese made flags and state I am a Patriot. They hate healthcare, freedom, and democrcay. Mike Moore explains the village idiots in detail. Mommy subsidised spoiled brats. Would an American Patriot support voter suppression. Todays Russian Koch Tea Party Patriots hate freedom and democracy. They hate AMERICA and all it`s good. They want to destroy America with worthless mines for campaign money. The truth is once the mine starts everything in the community dies. Even the people from the polution. You can look at any mining operation and see it destroy everything in it`s path. like the ladysmith mine it was going to create hundreds of jobs. In it`s hay day it had 28 jobs. I beleive there were more polution deaths than that. the state refuses to count. Living close by it was obvious.

If Wisconsin US attorney was a honest honorable person not a Protection Rackeet for his fellow republicans. Walker would be in a federal penn. A federal judge in Milwaukee in 1/2011 ordered Milwaukee county to rehired all the people Walker fired. The judge stated Walker mislead the county board on everything. The judge basicily stated Walker commit a few dozens of crimes and without any doubt abused his power. The judge stated Walker created a FALSE emergency. The judge detailed Walkers crimes. This has cost the state how many millions? Why is US attorney John Vaudruel protecting Walker and allowing him to continue his reign of terror on the seniors, poor, and or future our children. Is Vaudruels agenda protecting his GOP pals more important than our children? John stop your protection rackeet.

MADISON, Wisconsin (WKOW) - The Wisconsin Budget Project found state lawmakers left more than $1 billion in federal funds they could have taken, after looking at figures from the nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau.
According to an October LFB memo, state budget cuts or incomplete funding of state programs meant Wisconsin did not capture an additional $506 million of federal funds that were available over the current biennium. This is in addition to $803 million in two large federal grants, including a grant for high-speed rail, that Wisconsin turned down.
According to the most recent national data available, the Wisconsin Budget Project found the state ranked 32nd among states in federal spending per capita.
According to the LFB memo, the Legislature bypassed at least four different opportunities to bring additional federal money into the state: nearly half a billion dollars in Medical assistance; $13.2 million to provide job training for people with disabilities; $8.3 million for enforcing child support orders; and $4.2 for administering FoodShare and medical assistance programs.
The Wisconsin Budget Project is an initiative of the Wisconsin Council on Children and Families. Its web site says it focuses on state budget and tax issues related to low and moderate income families.

@Randy-See that is where we both agree. Absolutely there should be fiscal sanity all the way to the top!! Especially in Washington. But as a tax payer in the private sector whose health care cost climbs every year costing me more out of my check, its hard for me to understand why I should be expected to pay more in the form of taxes just so public employee maintains there cadillac health care. I work for a non union shop, make good money, receieve yearly cost of living increases, have sick pay ect and that is all without collective bargaining.
But yes I agree those at the top do need to become more fiscally responsible. My biggest issue with all this is, it is costing our State even more for what? This is what elections are for. I just feel this is being driven for many reasons other than his collective bargaining bill such as recent passage of ccw, castle dontrine just to name a couple. I mean come on we are next to the last State to finally recognize the 2nd Amendment and pass a ccw law.

Brainwashing a child is usually done in a police station. Police arrest children because they are easy prey and very vonerable. They can be tricked into anything. This has created great conviction rates for all invovled. It has ruined generations of our youth so a greedy few can prevail. Now walker is using a vonerable child. 72% of our youth between 12 and 28 claim they have been a victum of the justice system. They claim they have been or no someone who has been convicted of a crime they had no knowledge about. Todays courts never produce justice it is all about conviction rates. Assemblyline justice Plea baragining/legal extortion has ended liberty and justice for all. Was this part of a plea agreement with a GOP county controlled court? They all go hand in hand like all Rico type criminal enterprises. It the last Wisconsin supreme court race we realized it is not who votes that counts. It is the waukesha cleck that elects our legilatures. Wisconsin attorney general won by a few thousand votes. There were 22,000 more votes than cast in that election. If not for the US attorneys protection rackeet BJ Van Boughton would not also be protecting fellow criminal walker. Walker is good for Russian supporter david Koch and his Josef Satalin ideals. The walker administration then scooter and then the GOP wisconsin supreme brothel 4 to three decided due process is not nessesary. Due process is procedure. It is the most important requiremnet for a rule of law. It is required before you can call the state of country a lawfully soceity. Due process is needed to even talk about a law or anything. If you do not use due process you are a lawless regime without a constitution or laws of any kind. You have no procedure you can be convicted be fore you were arrested. You could be executed then taken to court. China, Iran, North Korea , all countries in the world require due process. If not your a police state controlled by one person . If two people made decsions you would need due processes. The GOp has not just ended all rational law of the WORLD to illegally pass ACT10. The GOP appointee John Vaudruals US attorneys offices protection rackeet by law must intervine. Lincoln started a civil war when states left the union and refused to recognize the declaration of independence, bill of rights, and the constitution. Shirley A. one of the judges put this in her opinion in this case. It ended democrcay. The only company now willing to enter Wisconsin is a Company from Maine. It needs millions in state money. Maine did not agree to gamble it`s money on a get rich quick scheme. They have nothing to loose. Mc donalds does enter a country until thy have a stable government with a single standard of laws. NO DUE PROCESS NO DEMOCRACY.

Anyone educated in America knows due process is a requirement in a democracy. Anything else is a hypocracy. Websters says it best : to change what is norm for personal political or religous reasons is an act of perversion. Should judges be held to a higher standard? What about when they become as westers says pervs, we must remove the four anti American thinks pretending to be judges on the court.
To be a judge at a dog show you must be able to tell if the dog has fleas. These so called judges have the fleas. The first day in first grade a student learns due process or the rules of the school. It is needed to have stability and order. Four of our judges obviously are poster children for George W`s teacher performance scam. They have been passed threw the first grade all the way to the supreme court without one once of logic, morals or common sense. You should be smarter tahna first grader to be a so called judge. Calling any GOP judge a judge is an insult. they are corporate rubber stamps. A judge must have an open mind. That omits ALL GOP.

He won't be with all the recall signatures, this movement is bigger than what you think it is. And as for your grocery store scenario, IF I see something like that, I'm not going to sit there and judge the person. How do you know if the person at the grocery store wasn't give those clothes as a gift, maybe she only has one decent outfit... You judge so much. How do you know that all the kids she had were conceived with out birth control or that she isn't pregnant because she was raped. All of you sit there and judge. You NEVER know the whole story unless you are in their shoes. There are terrible mothers and fathers out there that do abuse the system but you walkin through the grocery store doesn't determine which people those are. You really need to get knocked off your pedestal. That happens to be the states job. Not yours... Like I said, nothing but judgement from one person to another and hate. All this is inspired by Scott Walker's so called good deeds to put a bigger divider between the classes. I'm sorry that you are filled with so much animosity for human kind that you can go to sleep at night feeling that way about the people you see. Maybe that young girl at the grocery store with four kids and pregnant is going to school to get her degree or is finishing high school because she had to stop because she choose to have the child istead of abort it. Which is a very big belief I believe of the GOP is it not? Stop judging others.. She could be your daughter someday.

She could be the babysitter of the kids and the parents had her take their phone so they could call her. Who knows. Or a big sister (volunteer). I was a big sister and went out in public with my "little" and another child, so what can you judge about me for that? That's crazy. In this debate there are so many assumptions flying around, so little concern for facts. When I posted the facts of the Wis. retirement system, and how getting $30 million for that system would have been simple--bring control of the fund to Wisconsin, off wall street and save $160 MILLION! Why wasn't that considered rather than hitting working families with 8-15% pay cut? Why would a governor choose to hurt employees and hurt their purchasing power during a depression?

He could be further in debt that anyone realizes, just like that I-Phone may be a mom or dad's and she was using it to get ahold of someone important. The fact is we don't know enough about the people around us to judge us. Sometimes yes, it looks awful. Is it horrible to have a nice pair of boots as a parent if you sacrifice everything else for your children though. Just think about what I'm saying. We can't judge people's situation or consider anyone the majority just because someone looks bad. I don't like abuse of our systems but the case workers determine who gets the assitance who doesn't , and when there is fraud, to go after them. I don't mind paying to help those that truly need it even if there are a few that are going to abuse the system. The system is not going to be perfect because that place you go to apply for assistance, those people are so overworked and under paid and that's what happens when we don't have the funds to pay attention to what is going on. There is a lot of fixing to do and I just don't see Scott Walker doing what it takes to make sure the people of Wisconsin are taken care of properly.

@Laurel-Well then why did u and all the others not give him a chance just as we did with Doyle for 8 years? If he at the end of his term did not do a good job then thats why we have elections. But to recall on the basis of we dont agree is wrong!! Your last post Laurel I can totally agree on many points!! So see we are not so different but the message gets distorted. My whole point being is Gov Walker was elected to do a job and since there was no fraud or anything illegal he should be allowed to fill his term. The hard core progressive liberals are angry not only about collective bargaining but conceal carry, castle doctrine, voter id and thats just wrong. It sets the example that if we dont agree recall

Neighbors are at neighbors throats. This is not the Wisconsin we all worked hard for and grew up in. People are more divided now than ever. It breaks my heart to see this happening and I don't think Scott Walker has Wisconsin on top of the best interest list. It makes me think this is what he wants and I don't trust him anymore. Not that I truly did to begin with, but what he has done is apalling in my eyes. Demeaning teachers and such. I would rather pay more for a better education than end up with idiots running for president although that too seems a little late. Education is huge!

Well Mr. Patriot- you obviously did not have the moxy or support of Republicon green root support. Oh wait- didn't Walker try to recall Doyle at some point in his infamous "career". Or perhaps Doyle didn't rape Wisconsin like Walker did in the last year. Hmmmm

Mr. Patriot: " Now we have another movement underfoot.  One which currently isn't getting much attention from the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel, but has been featured on conservative talk radio in the area as well as Madison.  I am referring to the "Recall Doyle" campaign.   Governor Doyle needs to go.  And the Recall Doyle organization is spearheading the effort to kick him out of office. "
Looks like you are misinformed or just plain don't know your Wisconsin politics. Hmmm

@Drive-Doyle didnt rape Wisconsin? Well I was def affected by your boy Doyles actions year after year. Thus far I have not been affected by Gov Walkers action but rather have benefited.
As for recalling Doyle that is the difference between you so called progressive liberals and myself. I allow the democratic process to play out. As elections have consequences. Unlike you who feels because you dont agree you must recall. Drive to its ok this just shows your mentality and your morals. For you its all about you and you only. You just ride the wave of your so called grass roots movement. Very similar to the Vietnam Protests.

Get used to it Drive. Its about time your cadillac health care has come to and end and you are required to give a little just as of us in the private sector.

Mitt Romney is a complete joke. The only people this guy can relate to is the top 1%. What a phony unlike Walker who is a bona fide political sociopath.
Have fun looking at every one of those 1.6 recall petitions. make sure ya all take a few breaks. Inputting all that data like we did is very tedious work. FYI the George and Barbara Bush signatures are real people.

@Bob- I dont believe there is 1.6 petitions for Walker. Either way a large portion of those Im sure will be found to be fradulant. So its more like the amount that originally voted against Walker during the election. So if it comes to an election the silent majority will once again keep him in office!!! Then what will you do? Im sure you will find something else to waste the States money on. Just think if this was not costing the State 9 million plus maybe there would be a few more bucks for said services.

Wonder who the Union will tell you libs you have to support? It wont be your call. I seen the list of names out there. They are not impressive. Dont worry they will decide for you and than you can parrot theyre talking points. Lord knows there isnt much original thought coming from the left. And common sense left the building many moons ago . lol

@Randy1949
Unions already told Barret not to run. He fully utilized Walkers reforms to give Milwaukee one of its most responsible budgets in decades. Plus , you wont hear alot about collective bargaining in any recall election. Just as in the senate recalls .....that was not a talking point that wins voters.
Unions will pick your canidate and than u will do as your told . They know they got to keep you in line . They cant have members thinking for themselves and concluding the reforms in fact are working. I was in a union . I know the drill . But common sense and logic is a far better path than hatred and emotion . The unions will wind you all up and you will all act like the trained monkeys they see you as. They cant have any lose cannons actually using logic and relistic fiscal details . Do as your told thats your job.

Dont you like that you dont have to make a choice now . They will do all the thinking for you . I am sure they would love your support . Why do u think they beat the war drums ...its so the trained monkeys come running. I know the drill . I seen it 1st hand for years.
So keep fighting for them..... no worries...I am sure they are doing it for your best interests. lol

There are true republicans and there is the tea party movement. I don't mind a good debate with a republican but the tea party movement is just ridiculous. It's impossible to meet in the middle when they want to dig in their heels and refuse to cooperate because they want their way or no way. I am glad to see many republicans are disagreeing with the tea party these days and want their name back. Thank goodness for that. I miss the normalicy instead of the craziness involved with the extreme ideals of the tea party movement. :/

@Laurel-Well see thats where you are wrong. The Tea Party movement is a movement similar to what the founding fathers believed. They believed in smaller government for one thus the Constitution and Bill of rights was born. People are sick and tired of all the left & right pocket liners just to get the vote. ie Ron Paul a true fiscal conservative!! We The People will prevail. Obviously the way things have been done past and present are not working. The Tea Party is just that We The People who want to take our Country back. Why should we apologize for being arrogant? Obviously Obama feels we need to. If America is so bad then why are there thousands if not millions still trying to get here? Again because Gov Walker put an end to a privlege that many have exploited for years you are upset, because Gov Walker recognized the importance of our 2nd Amendment and passed conceal carry, because Gov Walker also signed voter ID you want to recall him. You cannot argue there is no voter fraud on all sides of the fence. So voter ID just helps to hopefully prevent that. I mean come on they have discovered there were forged signatures in Indiana just to get Obama on the ticket back in 08. It happens so no denying it.
Had the founding fathers shared your thoughts and beliefs we would not be who we are today. As they would have went along with the party rule at that time and we would honoring the king and queen

The Tea party also was born of the middle class because they were sick and tired of paying for so much when those that had the most paid the least (1%ers). Unfortunately the Tea-party got bought out by the 1%ers who have turned the middle class against itself and is demonizing public workers and they are laughing about it as they are no longer the focus of the movement. That is where the Occupy movement came from. They are the 99% who recognize what happened to the Tea-party, a good thing gone wrong

He is young and has an opinion and was able to speak it in an intelligent manner. I respect that. Even more so because at that age I had a similar point of view. I was "conservative" and right wing. Iwent to what would be a conservative University in Michigan until Reagan got elected and my college funding dried up. I went into the working world. The company I worked for went out of business. I went back to College at UWM and was nauseated by the extremists on both ends of the spectrum and realized that I am a moderate. I ended up getting my degree and found a job where I can help people (regardless of anything) when they need it the most. I hold in high regard those who value the worth of a human life from birth to death. Those who seek only to hurt others for their own benefit I have no respect for. That is why I am one of a million who signed to recall Walker.

Sadly the left simply doesnt understand Economics. The classic case is California . Of course they overpaid public employees too . They increased taxes on businesses. Businesses than flea the state. They get less and less revenue . Cuts and layoffs are than forced later in the game because the debt consumes the state. The unions dont protest this as long as they are getting theyre cut and steady flow of union dues to feed theyre bloated Hierachy. Its not about workers jobs or rights...its about UNION DUES. I was in a Union . I know the drill . The recall has nothing to do with preserving education, fiscal sanity or a clear path forward. Its about Union dues and the fear Unions have that the public union shell game is being exposed and than addressed! Anyone with half a brain knows this. The anti walker crowd is either ignorant or in denial of the basic reality of this entire uproar. Puppets having theyre strinsg pulled to do whatever it takes to preserve union dues. Amazing !

@Skinny-Dude couldnt have said it better!!! That is absolutely what this is about. The unions loosing big money period!! Yes I understand how those who have had the gravy for sooooo long are upset that they are or think they are loosing something. The only real cost to you at this point is your contributions to your health care which only brings u in line with all the rest of us and even then your paying less!!
As far as Education that the left keeps throwing out there is total BS!!! We are so far behind the rest of the world and that happened long before Gov Walker came along. As a matter of fact Milwaukee itself, Racine and other areas were failing long before Gov Walker. So stop using Walker as an excuse and start taking personal responsibility
