Prayer Service for Newtown, CT, Tonight at Waukesha Church
The downtown Waukesha faith community is coming together to pray for those affected by the senseless tragedy.
Downtown Waukesha churches are holding a special service to pray for everyone affected by the Newtown, CT, shooting and violence worldwide at 5 p.m. tonight (Sunday).
The service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Ave.
Adam Lanza killed 20 children when he opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Six adults were also killed during the horrific mass shooting, including the principal at the school.
Authorities have not yet determined a motive. Early reports that Lanza’s mother was a teacher at the school were incorrect.
