Police Respond to Retail Theft and Fight Complaints
Waukesha Police Department’s call log from Wednesday, Dec. 29.
The following calls were responded to by the Waukesha Police Department on Wednesday.
- A man with no prior criminal record was cited and released after stealing $70 in clothing items from Walmart, 2000 S. West Ave.
- A man who was just released from Waukesha County Jail, 515 W. Moreland Blvd., was reported to not paying a bus driver and not getting off the bus. The man was released from jail without a bus pass and a deputy with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department arrived on scene to give the man a bus pass.
- A man was injured after being attacked by another man and a woman at 1:23 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Scott Avenue. A witnesses reported seeing the man getting kicked in the face and punched. The victim did not need an ambulance.
- An elderly woman was injured when an airbag deployed in her face during a car accident at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday at Anoka and Perkins avenues.
- An intoxicated man was reported to be stumbling in the street and repeatedly falling into traffic at 7:04 p.m. Wednesday at North Moreland Boulevard and Michigan Avenue. Police made contact with the man, who was walking to his daughter's nearby house.
- Males were reported fighting outside a store at 8:07 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of East Broadway. Police made contact with one of the men, who told investigators that three men confronted his younger brother outside the store. The man told police he went outside to see what was going on and that there was only pushing. No punches were thrown, according to the report.
- A woman at the Hope Center, 502 N. East Ave., reported at 8:33 p.m. Wednesday that her tires were slashed. The woman believed it was a person who was removed from the facility for swearing.
