Police Report: The Case of the Missing Service Dog
Waukesha Police Department calls from Tuesday and early Wednesday morning.
A man contacted police at 5:14 p.m. Tuesday after his service dog ran away in the 800 block of North Barstow Street. The man called again four minutes later to report he found his dog.
In other Waukesha Police Department calls:
• A rock was thrown through a window and checks were stolen during a burglary that was reported at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Tesch Court.
• A person was arrested following a car accident at 8:08 a.m. Tuesday at Arcadian and Hartwell avenues.
• A juvenile in the 1400 block of Elder Street was cited for truancy after refusing to go to school at 10:08 a.m. Tuesday.
• A city truck and an ice cream truck collided at 1:04 p.m. Tuesday at Windsor Drive and South Charles Street.
• A woman who was having a medical condition due to diabetes hit two vehicles at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of West Moreland Boulevard.
•The theft of scrap metal was reported at 1:52 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Macarthur Road.
• A bank in the 500 block of West Sunset Drive contacted police about a fraud scam when a woman tried to open an account at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday. Police determined the woman was a pawn in the scam and advised her to no longer have contact with Internet job offers.
• A person received a neck injury during a car accident that was reported at 5:37 p.m. Tuesday at North Grandview Boulevard and Golf Road.
• A woman was arrested after it was reported she was shouting, pushing and shoving at 8:14 p.m. Tuesday in a home in the 600 block of Scott Avenue.
• A woman reported at 9:32 p.m. Tuesday that there were footprints all over her yard in the 1900 block of Chapman Drive. The woman thought someone may have tried to break into her home, but when police were called, the footprints were covered with snow and there was no sign of forced entry to the residence.
• The theft of a snowblower from a snow removal company was reported at 11:06 p.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Gabriel Drive.
• An intoxicated man was arguing with a woman at 1:26 a.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Wisconsin Avenue. Police were called for a possible domestic disturbance but determined the couple was only verbally fighting about money and jobs.
• A snowplow hit and knocked over a light pole at 4:07 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of North Grand Avenue.
