Police Report: Disorderly Juveniles; Theft From Vehicles

  • A GPS was stolen from a vehicle at 8:26 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Oakland Avenue.
  • The theft of catalytic converters from vehicles was reported at 10:21 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of West College Avenue.
  • The theft of mail from a mailbox was reported at 12:41 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Carroll Street.
  • A person reported at 12:44 p.m. Tuesday that a former business partner had stolen money at 12:44 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of West Main Street.
  • Two arrests were made after a fight involving a baseball bat was reported at 2:38 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of East Park Avenue.
  • A group of 8-year-olds reportedly were swearing and kicking trash cans at Horeb Spring Park at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday. The juveniles were told to leave the park for the rest of the day.
  • Police paged juvenile intake after it was reported that a 5-year-old boy was left alone for more than an hour at 3:51 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Randall Street.
  • A woman received a head injury during a car accident at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday  at Highway 59 and East Sunset Drive.
  • A person was tasered and arrested during an approximately one hour standoff after a domestic disturbance was reported at 7:07 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Collin Street.
  • A 13-year-old who left a note that he was running away was advised about his behavior at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of North Prairie Avenue.
  • Police are investigating an incident involving an extremely intoxicated woman who passed out in the back seat of a vehicle at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday in the 2800 block of Sussex Lane.
  • Two aldermen were contacted by a downtown resident about loud music at a bar at 8:33 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of West Main Street. People were advised.
  • Seven juveniles reportedly were ding-dong ditching at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of Summit Avenue.
  • Police were called to the 100 block of Mccall Street for a report that several individuals were burglarizing a vacant fraternity house. However, when police responded at 8:43 p.m. Tuesday, they learned that the individuals had permission to be in the house and to remove items from the house before the house is sold.
  • A man reported that his daughter was kidnapped, however, when police looked at the information at 10:12 p.m. Tuesday in the 2800 block of Silvernail Road, they learned the daughter was in the care of the state and that the man is to not know his daughter’s wherabouts.
  • Items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Cambridge Avenue.
  • An intoxicated man who reportedly was yelling and threatening people was removed from the 300 block of Maple Avenue at 11:32 p.m. Tuesday.
  • A female was taken into protective custody after threatening suicide by attempting to get hit by a car at 11:36 p.m. Tuesday in the 2700 block of North Grandview Boulevard.
  • A woman reported that two men pushed her up against a wall at 1:36 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of West Main Street and threatened her. The woman did not want to file a complaint. The men had fled from the scene.
  • A fight was reported at 1:41 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Avenue and Williams Street. Neither side wanted to file a complaint.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving during a traffic stop at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of South West Avenue.
