Police Report: Contractor Gets Wrong House, Scares 13-Year-Old Girl

Waukesha Police Department calls from Monday and Tuesday.

 

A contractor who was at the wrong house reported that he had terrified a 13-year-old girl and her mother when he went to work on a house at 6:47 a.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Madera Street. The child’s mother called police stating she was scared as well by the worker.

The contractor was supposed to be working on Coronado Street.

 In other Waukesha Police Department calls:

• About $500 was stolen from a lockbox that was pried open at 9:26 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of Linden Street.

 • A woman reported being mooned by a man in another car at 2:39 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of East Sunset Drive.

 • A person was arrested for theft at 2:43 p.m. Monday at Waukesha South High School, 401 E.  Roberta Ave.

 • A car caught on fire in a parking lot at 3:19 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of South West Avenue.

 • A city bus crashed into a fire hydrant at 4:15 p.m. Monday at Debbie Drive and South West Avenue but there was no damage to the fire hydrant.

 • A squad car was hit by another vehicle at 8:06 p.m. Monday at Avalon Drive and East Moreland Boulevard.

 • A man called 911 looking for the city’s non-emergency number for a parking complaint at 9:10 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of South Moreland Boulevard and told dispatch who told him that 911 was for emergencies only "thanks for the update, go to hell." The man called the non-emergency number, initially denied calling 911 and then admitted it and apologized for his behavior. The man was advised that police were going to speak with him about his conduct.

 • A woman who was upset with city dispatch because her street was not plowed reported at 11:42 p.m. Monday in the 3600 block of Shade Tree Court. The vehicle was not on fire but the tire and brakes were hot from spinning around in the snow.

 • A dozen people were advised at 12:43 a.m. Tuesday at Lowell Park, 2200 Madison St., that sledding is not allowed at night.

 • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving after it was reported a car was in a ditch at 1:32 a.m. Tuesday at Northview and Meadowbrook roads.

 • A private snowplow smashed a car at 5:27 a.m. Tuesday at Oakdale Drive and Highway 59. The snowplow driver apparently did not stop for a red light but at least one person was injured.

• The theft of a $300 guitar was reported at Goodwill, 1400 Nike Drive, at 3:03 p.m. Tuesday.

• A man was arrested on a warrant and was tasered in the process at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Pewaukee Road.

 • A man was arrested and more than $200 were returned to a victim after a domestic disturbance was reported at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Kimberly Drive.

 • A car was nearly struck by a train at 5:37 p.m. Tuesday at South West and Progress avenues. The train conductor locked the train’s emergency brakes to avoid a collision.
