Police Report: Battery; Social Drama; Seeking a ‘Snitch’

Waukesha Police Department calls from Feb. 4 and Feb. 5.

 

The following information was supplied by the Waukesha Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

  • Young people were warned about public behavior after they were arguing about social drama, ending with one man chasing a car on foot at 10 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Linden Street.
  • One person was arrested and one person was cited after employees at Discount Liquor were trying to apprehend a thief outside the store at 11:11 a.m. Saturday.
  • A narcotics violation was reported at 11:24 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Arcadian Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving at 12:34 p.m. Saturday after a car accident was reported at South East and East Roberta avenues.
  • A theft of electronic games was reported at 1:05 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Darlene Drive.
  • A 80-year-old woman in the 1500 block of Summit Avenue was advised about the proper use of 9-1-1 after she called to get the number for a bar because she had purchased food for a party there and her friend never picked her up at 1:24 p.m. Saturday. The woman was afraid the food would go bad.
  • A pedestrian was hit by a car at 1:49 a.m. Saturday at North Grand Avenue and West Broadway. The pedestrian had no obvious injuries.
  • A person was arrested during a traffic stop at 5:05 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Avenue and Dopp Street.
  • A person reported at 5:47 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Third Street. Police responded and found it was parents yelling at children to stop jumping on the sofa while they were in the process of moving.
  • A person was cited for noise after he was screaming about “the snitch” who called police on him in an apartment building at 8:03 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of North University Drive. The man previously had been playing loud music at 6:54 p.m.
  • An arrest was made after a man refused to leave a home in the 100 block of Cecilia Court. The man had pulled a butcher knife on his mother at 8:04 p.m. Saturday.
  • A possible intoxicated driver was reported at 8:29 p.m. Saturday at East Racine Avenue and Highway 164 because the vehicle nearly sideswiped a car, was crossing lines and had varying speeds. Police met with the driver at a residence – and learned the driver was a teenager was learning how to drive.
  • A garage door was egged at 11:25 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of South Grandview Boulevard.
  • A person was arrested at 11:57 p.m. Saturday during a traffic stop at West Laflin and South Grand avenues.
  • Two people were arrested during a traffic stop at 12:50 a.m. Sunday at West St. Paul Avenue and Fuller Street.
  • A person was arrested on warrants at 2:14 a.m. Sunday at Hinman Avenue and Jackson Court.
  • Police were called to the 400 block of West Main Street at 5:09 a.m. Sunday for a possible domestic disturbance at an unknown apartment unit. Police could not hear anything and made contact with several apartments. One resident didn’t hear anything. But, at 5:45 a.m. a resident of the apartment building came to the emergency room with a gash to the back of his head. The resident told police a man had gone into his room when the resident was sleeping and beat him up. The resident told police his room was covered in blood. Another man in another apartment was injured with minor lacerations in the incident. Police arrested the suspect.
