Waukesha South celebrates the Class of 2012.
Waukesha South High School gymnasium was crowded with friends and family who came to commerate the graduation of the Class of 2012.
The school graduated 310 students this year in South's 153rd commencement ceremony.
Speaking for the class was Colleen Glatzel.
"These years have been unforgetable because we've been there for eachother," she said.
The commencement address was given by physical education teacher David Rusch, who caused the students to laugh with a list of things they will miss about South, including his bird whistle and rollercoaster exercises. He ended on a serious note, giving graduates some advice, including: "Never take one day of your life for granted."
Waukesha South will have 80% of its students go on to two-year, four-year and vocational colleges next year, Assistant Superintendent Dana Monogue told the graduates. Four percent will serve in the armed forces.
