Waukesha children competed in a pumpkin-carving contest Saturday morning. The contest was sponsored by the Waukesha Optimist Club and was held at Piala’s Nursery & Garden Shop.

Waukesha children had the chance to compete to see who was the best pumpkin carver Saturday morning at Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop on Highway 59.

Sponsored by the Waukesha Optimist Club, the elementary and middle school-aged kids brought their best work to shine for judges Steve Fisher, the fine arts coordinator for the Waukesha School District, and Allison Olson, an art teacher at Waukesha South High School.
