Marching bands from throughout the area participated in Waukesha South High School's MarchFest in an attempt to get the bands ready for the state competition at UW-Whitewater on Oct. 13.
Waukesha South and Waukesha North high schools were part of Saturday's competition at MarchFest.
Waukesha South performed as an exhibition only. Waukesha North took first for its division and also took home caption awards for percussion, auxiliary/color guard and musical presentation.
