Obituary: Nada Jovanovich
Waukesha woman owned businesses throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
Nada Jovanovich, age 90, passed away on Nov. 3, 2011, at Season’s Hospice in Waukesha.
Nada was born in West Allis on Mar. 27, 1921, to Ernest and Josephine Sandrone. Sam and Nada owned and operated several businesses including a grocery store in West Allis, a resort on Summit Lake, two grocery stores on Tichigan Lake and apartments in Milwaukee. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by four sons; Milo “Mike” (Cathy) of Neenah, Robert (Virginia) of Pewaukee, Sam Jr (Mary) of Humbird and Ron (Patricia “Ricki”) of Eagle River, AK; sisters Josephine Petrovic and Mary Marlatt; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Sam Sr., brothers Sam, Ernest and Carmello; sister Caroline and brothers-in-law Fred Marlatt and Gilbert Petrovic.
Visitation Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service is at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern WI, 8948 Watertown Plank Road, Milwaukee, WI 53226 or charity of donor’s choice.
