Obit: David "Dave" J. Kadrich

Waukesha man served in U.S. Air Force.

David “Dave” J. Kadrich, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at age 81.

Dave was born in Waukesha on Sept. 8, 1930, a son of John and Alma Kadrich. He graduated from Waukesha High School, where he was a 1948 All–Suburban and All-State Football player. He went on to attend the University of Kentucky, Lake Forest College and Carroll College.

Dave was a dedicated employee of Wisconsin Centrifugal for over 33 years. He married the love of his life, Margaret Metz on May 19, 1962. Dave was an outdoorsman who enjoyed deer hunting and musky fishing. He was also an avid NBA, Packers and Brewers fan. Dave proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Dave will be dearly missed by his wife, Marge; children, John (Sue) Kadrich and Susie (Terry) Porter; grandchildren, Brianna, Franklin and Malcolm Porter and Emily and Molly Kadrich; sister, Beverly (James) Robertson; dear-aunt, June Schulz; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. David is preceded in death by his father, John Kadrich; and mother, Alma Kadrich-Petrie.

The visitation for Dave will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188.

The Rev. Kevin Barnekow will be officiating. A private burial with Military Honors will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dave’s name are appreciated to St. William Catholic Church (see address above) or to the City of Waukesha Fire Department
